Thank you for sharing this story behind the writer of this timeless truth, that we can truly stand upon God's promises and find the rock beneath us is secure. My favorite part of today's post was all the Bible verse; the page is lovely, too. We sing that hymn in church, it is a real blessing to learn about the author of it. Thank you!
One promise we don't like to speak about is the promise that "all that desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution" (2 Tim 3:12) but God is ever so faithful to lift us up even in the midst of that! Her body gave up last Friday night - she went into a coma in the morning and left this life at 8pm that night. Her journey to death was a slow process with having been diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer on 1st December and given 5 days to live but lasted 11 weeks. Her body had wasted away to skin and bone which was sad to watch.
Whether she is at peace right now - only God knows as up until my last visit with her on 2nd February she was still rejecting Christ.

Your artwork is beautiful.Anne-Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02319699183356786924noreply@blogger.com
