A Little {Friday Fun}

Today, I thought I would share a few photos from my morning bike ride but also give you a challenge! First, here are a few shots from this morning's ride:



The gator was only a baby but he sure was moving fast. :) And it was high tide this morning so we didn't have a lot of room for riding like we usually do. Guess I better check the tide schedules. LOL!

Now for your challenge. Identify what these photographs are from:


I am looking for a specific name. :) Each correct entry will be entered to win some crafting goodies including a Unity stamp handle, some ODBD stamps, and whatever else I can find and put together once I get home. Sorry I don't have a picture.     Those look like the scaly sides of Palmettos. Loved seeing those down in Charleston! Looks like a fun vacation.

    This is the trunk of a palm tree. The dead branches have been trimmed off which makes it look like this!

    Bark from a Palmetto palm tree? I have these in my yard her in LA, lower Alabama. I have toted a many a lot larger to the road side! We have a palm tree in a yard that has been here since our house was built in the 60's and trimming it is no fun. My grandson says I have a beach tree! Thanks for sharing your beautiful pics!

    I also think it is the trunk of a Palmetto Palm tree that has been trimmed.

    Looks like the trunk of a Palmetto Palm. I live in AZ and we have them in our back yard! Clever photo!

    I live in BC Canada & have never seen these trees before so it took a few minutes on Google to figure it out! they are pics of a Cabbage Palmetto tree, which I learned is the Florida State Tree!

    The bark/trimmed branches of a Palmetto tree - I had one once and it stabbed me when i went to tidy it one year - I was pleased when we were able to have it removed!!

    My parents have these at their home where I grew up. It is a Palmetto Palm tree. They are a pain to trim. We did have lots of birds make their nests in them which was neat to see. :)

    I think it is a Palmetto Palm Tree. Have seen them before on vacation trips.What great sights to see on a bike trip.

    This look like the bark from a Palmetto Tree. I'm from Charleston and this is the state tree! Oh, how I miss those lovely trees blowing in the wind in summer. :)

    I recognized the picture right away! A palmetto tree! I remember them from when I lived in Charleston, SC; very common there.
