Anyway, I accidentally put a huge scratch across the color photo. Everything was already adhered down, and it was underneath flowers so I couldn't pull it up and replace it. So, I printed the photo again, cut it down, and layered the photo on top of the damaged photo. This not only covered the scratch but it also "popped" the photo out and made a fun design element. The family that received this album noticed the popped photo and loved the effect. They had NO idea why I did it though—to cover a silly mistake. LOL!
It looks very good with extra picture, super idea. I always have to do grungy pages , not only is it my style, but I can cover mistakes in every way. Especially the punching, and spelling paint over my page(why dont I close my jars immediatly).
ReplyDeletewhat a great tip! love it
ReplyDeleteExcellent idea!
ReplyDeleteOnly you could cover a mistake so beautifully, and with such a clever idea, Patter. :) Some of my favorite layouts have come from having to fix a "mistake". :)
ReplyDeleteJust this weekend (first grilling out of the season)somebody nameless set down a platter of hamburgers and dripped a smear of BBQ sauce onto a nearby card I'd not yet sent. Eureka! I make all kinds of mistakes, even without my dear family's help, so thanks for the encouragement. --Jennifer in OH
