Wow is God turning my life upside down this year! So much is happening, and I am really having to cling to Him and put my complete trust in Him and all that He has for me in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
First, we are in the midst of the big move across the country. Movers come next week, and I will be without internet for possibly 2 weeks. Oh, how will I manage that? Eeek! We close on the new house on June 26th. I have been praying everyday that the date does not change and that we don't have anymore bumps in the road with that.
Second, I am may no longer be designing for Our Daily Bread Designs. I am praying about it but of course God has the big plan--not me. I trust that He has many new things waiting for me as we move and begin anew.
Third, I wanted to share that once my internet is back up and I am in my new studio, you can expect lots of fun things here on my blog with all of these posts resuming--
**Tuesday's {Tips}
**Art Journaling
**The Hymn and Scripture Challenge
**Organizational {Friday}
**Memory Box creations and teaching schedule
**My crochet and sewing creations, and much more!
Now, I want to leave you first with a photo from our new deck. I think I will have my prayer time each morning on our screened in porch! What better way to worship the Lord than to see His amazing creation like this each morning.
And then I want to leave you with the scriptures God has given me over these past couple of weeks. I pray they speak to some of you as they have to me!
Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."
1 Peter 1:14-16 "So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, 'You must be holy because I am holy.'"
Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Blessings to all of you, and I look forward to resuming the fun here with you on Triple the Scraps! I hope you will hang on with me until I am back with you again! Enjoy the week ahead!
Blessings for your move, Patter! It looks like if nothing else, God will bless you and remind you that He is Lord of all by that scenery alone ;) Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYes, those scriptures spoke directly to me, as I'm in the middle of life altering change. TFS.
ReplyDeletePatter, we also are making a major move in the next few weeks. Oh, how I would love it if your destination and mine was fairly close. :)
ReplyDeleteI know ODBD will be missing you but I'm confident the Lord has great plans ahead for you.
The view from your new deck is gorgeous! What a perfect spot for your quiet time. It will be interesting to see how the scenery changes with the seasons.
Thanks for the verses. Prov. 3:5-6 were my mom's life verses. Nice reminder of her.
Looking forward to you being settled and able to be back to full steam. Don't worry, you'll have plenty of people sticking around waiting for you. Take your time...moving is exhausting.

ReplyDeletePatter I have been thinking of you quite a bit lately and I am so glad that you posted an update. Looks as though you will be finished with this move before you know it and that God is working it all out. Praying for you as you continue to prepare this move. Blessings dear sister.
ReplyDeleteAdding my prayers for you and your family as you move. Your new home looks lovely! Looking forward to the Hymn and Scripture Challenge starting again when you are settled, really miss the challenges! Thanks for keeping us posted.
ReplyDeletePatter, I'll be praying for you! We've moved to two different states in the last seven years. It was the biggest challenge of my life, but it also came with the biggest blessings for our family. "Cling" was the very same word I used to describe those times when I was desperately hanging on to His promises. Keep clingin'!

ReplyDeleteHi Patter~
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry that I am just catching up now on the 8th of August. I have been going through some interesting times, also. Your adventure looks beautiful! I would surely have some of my prayer time from that spot. It is so easy to see God in nature, and hear Him in the quiet. I pray that you are all very blessed while living here...or anywhere!
He IS Able!
