Happy Saturday everyone! I am busy, busy working in my room today! I have even ordered fabric for my valences for my windows. I have mustard colored walls in my room, and I don't want to paint because of the parrots. So, I searched Design Seeds using the mustard color from my room, and I found this color palette:
I wanted to keep my favorite color pink too, and I think this color scheme will be perfect. Well, as I was unpacking, I unpacked some Basic Grey Eva fabric that is exactly this color scheme. How cool is that?
Anyway, I don't have enough for my valences so I ordered a bit more. But I am excited to see I don't have to paint, and I still keep my favorite pink too. I wasn't sure how "mustard" was going to work out but I think it will now! Yeah!!
Anyway, now on to the purpose of this post. As I unbox goodies and put things away, I find things I have decided to give away. So, I am going to give away at least 3 mystery boxes. It may be more depending on what I find. So, all you have to do is leave a comment here about anything--your favorite verse today, needed prayer, tips, ideas, anything! Leave your comment here by Saturday, July 28th, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. I will pick 3 (or more) winners next Sunday and announce sometime that day!
And on the note of prizes, I never mailed the last RAKs I had posted about because I never got a hold of the winners. Please see this post here to see if you were the lucky winner. I think with the move and changing e-mail addresses, things got crazy. I sincerely apologize! I hope to hear from both of you. You can e-mail me by clicking here.
And before I close, I do have a prayer request. My precious mother (whom I miss dearly) is going to have knee replacement surgery done at the end of August. Now that we have moved and because of our already scheduled vacation, I will not be able to be there with her. I am heartbroken. If you could please lift her up in prayer, I would truly appreciate it--prayers for minimal pain prior to surgery, peace for both Mom and Dad, wisdom for the doctors, adequate pain relief during recovery, and a quick/complication-free recovery. Thank you, thank you!
Okay, now let's see those comments, and enjoy the week ahead. I will have fun packing these goodie boxes. Blessings to each of you!
I love the colors and I hope to see pictures of your room when you get it done. That fabric is really nice too. Of course mystery boxes are nice too.
ReplyDeleteI love your fabric! And lots of thoughts and prayers for you Mom & Dad, and you as your mom faces her knee surgery.
ReplyDeleteOh Patter, your colors are very pretty. If I heard the name of the colors together without seeing them together, I wouldn't think I'd like them. But they are lovely together. I know your move has been an adventure, to say the least. :) But, it'll all come together soon.
ReplyDeleteYour momma will be in my prayers for her surgery as well as the pre op and post op periods. And, prayers for you as you can't be with her during that time.
I am learning to needle tat, and as I have been sitting here today tatting, I've been thinking about how good God is. My uncle has been very sick for the past 3 years. He was admitted to a nursing home 2 weeks ago. Three days later, he accepted Jesus as his Savior. He was almost 84 years old and we'd been praying for him my whole life. A week after he went into the nursing home, he was transferred to the hospice house. One week after going into hospice, he went home to Heaven, 11 days after accepting Christ. We are SO thankful God was with him and continued to speak to his spirit until he surrendered his all to Him. THIS is my blessing for today.
God bless you and yours, Patter!! :)
Blessings & hugs....Kathy Fuller
Your room will look lovely with that colour scheme!
ReplyDeletePrayers for your Mom!!
That's a beautiful color scheme you've picked!
ReplyDeleteSince my oldest daughter passed away 10 weeks ago on Mother's Day, I've been clinging to Phillipians 4:7 ~ And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Wow, I love that color scheme! So beautiful and serene. Good luck in your unpacking.
ReplyDeleteAnne and Kathy, both of your posts have brought tears to my eyes--tears of rejoicing for your uncle Kathy and tears of sadness and grief for you Anne! May both of you feel God's amazing peace as you deal with the tremendous losses in your lives! I will be praying, and thank you both for sharing. I know others will lift you both up in prayer too!
ReplyDeleteMy prayer request is for my family in the aftermath of my mother's death. The situation is so very challenging and beyond . . .
ReplyDeleteI would appreciate prayer for my family as we're getting ready to open a second retail store this summer.
ReplyDeleteThanks and thanks for the chance to win a mystery box. Sounds fun!
Will definitely be praying for your mom. Love that color palette.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful color combo...I can't wait to see your room when it's finished, it will be sooo gorgeous! You will have to make a video for us.
ReplyDeleteYou know those colors do work and it was Go sent that you already had some of the fabric. He was talking with you and tied it all in.
ReplyDeleteI will be praying for our Mom.
Thanks, Patter! And, Anne, you are most definitely in my prayers, as well. God's peace to you and yours as you face this difficult part of your journey.
ReplyDeletePatter, you are an inspiration to me, not only with your creative stamping and orginization, but more so with your faith. I truely enjoy reading your posts an blog, sometimes it lifts me up or makes me laugh but always makes my day:). Praying that your mothers knee surgery goes well and also that you will be at ease because you can't be there with her.
ReplyDeleteI also enjoy your blog because you are the mother of triplets, and we have triplet grand children who have added a lot of enjoyment to our lives.

Praying for your mom.
ReplyDeleteI've missed receiving your blog in my email. I know you have lots to do getting settled. The views you've posted are beautiful. How can anyone see the beauty and doubt God's existence.
I love your inspiration and the history of the hymns.
Thanks so much.

I LOVE THAT COLOR SCHEME. Just beautiful and so unique. I would love a mystery box, money has been tight here and haven't had any extra $ to spend on craft supplies. I will pray for your mom, she will be fine. God will protect the Dr's and her.

I need prayers for guidance..I have decided to go back to school and want to make sure I'm making the right decision!
Thanks Patter!!
Patter I love the color scheme you have chosen. I know it will be beautiful. I will be praying for you and your mom as I know the feeling of not being there with them.
ReplyDeleteGod is so good to me and this will be the first time I have posted this, but I will be a Grammy x 4 come February. Excited!!!!
Love, love, love your color scheme. I will be praying for your mom and you that the surgery is an easy one.
ReplyDeleteI love your color choices- don't know that it is one I would have thought of, but the colors are beautiful together-must remember to be a little adventuresome...
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy your blog and your inspiration, and as I am a lover of church hymns, and do have a source book, I think your hymn histories are special!
I have thought of your lovely view along your walking route as I have been attempting to motivate myself to move more..I am way too good at making excuses for myself..may the Lord guide and guard your Momma through this procedure...and give peace to your daddy and all the family..I would ask prayer for my precious Momma, Ruth, who has been battling with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma...she is a pastor's wife and sweet sister in Christ...blessings to you and yours, Becky J abcjones@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is that your colour choices are amazing - I would never have thought to go online to see what is available!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you do not have to paint.
And i will pray for your Mom
Blessings
Maxine
As I did my weekly Saturday check-in on my favorite blogs, was delighted to see you were back! Looking forward to seeing your finished room! You always have such great organizing ideas! Our former pastor had both knees replaced a couple months back and he is doing really well. Will pray for the same results for your mom. The area where your new home is is just goregous! God's handiwork everywhere you look. Blessings to you and your family as you settle in.

I would first like to say I'm glad to see you are getting back some. I have missed your post. I would also like to let you know how much of a inspiration you have been to me over the past 3 years. I know you don't know me but I always enjoyed your blogs because you always give God praise and have inspirational post. I love the journal questions and all your scrapping. Thanks so much for all you do. When you pray please pray for me and my family. Thanks so much for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the color of your new room. I think you will really love the new mustard color. It is warm and inviting yet cheerful and comforting. I find that the color goes well w/ just about everything! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteI will be lifting your precious mother up in my daily prayers.
My random thought has to do with my devotion for today. Find rest in the LORD! With the kiddos home for summer, I am EXHAUSTED! More cooking, cleaning, washing, whining, driving around! I need to rest in HIM!
Blessings,
Valerie Martin
Love the fabric and that you way to incorporate the mustard yellow with your pink. I don't think your studio would suit you w/o the pink. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for your mom and you. I know it's hard having your parent undergo things like that and not being able to be there.
A prayer request or two: I'm job hunting in our new location and fighting bronchitis. Please pray that I can find a job soon that will provide insurance.
What a beautiful color scheme for your new craft room. My thoughts and prayers are with your mother during her surgery. Praying for a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteHi Patter
ReplyDeleteI'll give you my best tip ever for your fresh painted room. Fill an empty cutex bottle with some of your paint and if you ever scratch or chip a wall you'll already have your paint ready for the touch up. Brush is just inside the bottle and no need to clean anything after. This is so handy and no mess. I'll also pray for your mom and dad.
Thanks for the opportunity to win a surprise box.
Have a great weekend
I love that basic grey pattern and would love to see how your valence comes out ! My favorite quote is one that my Grandmother always told me " That God doesnt give you anything that you can't handle " and that you are always stronger than you think ! Thanks for the chance to win one of the mystery boxes.
ReplyDeletePatter it's so good to hear from you even if from among all the boxes! Your new color scheme looks yummy! I wouldn't have known to search for a color combo!
ReplyDeleteWill be praying for you Mom and for your Dad and You too! I know it has to be hard not to be able to be there with her... and I know God can give the peace that passes understanding!
hugs,
Grace
Love your new color scheme! I've really missed your blog
ReplyDeleteposts since you've been moving. It's always such an adventure to move but so sorry you won't be able to be with your mom during her surgery. Prayers going up for both of you. Tina S
thislittlepiggy5(at)mchsi(dot)com
I love that BG fabric pattern! I made a quilt for my best friend using this line and it came out fabulous so I am sure your room will be just lovely! Keeping you and your family in my prayers as you settle in and for your mom as she prepares for, and has, surgery.
ReplyDeleteFor Anne:
ReplyDeleteMy prayers are with you during this difficult time. My oldest daughter went home to be with the Lord almost 12 years ago. My heart still aches with missing her. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
Thanks, Patter, for allowing me to post a special message to Anne. I truly understand her pain and my heart goes out to her. Tina S
So glad everything is coming together with your big move-love the fabric! Praying for your mom (and you). Love this verse today:
ReplyDelete"My tongue is the pen of a ready writer" Psalm 45:1b
It's going to be beautiful Pattet :)- Glad you are settling in to your new place AND sending special prayers for your moms upcoming surgery <3 Hugs to you friend !!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty color scheme! :) I'm a fairly new follower to your blog, but my interest was piqued when I saw your post on a local NC homeschool board. ;)
ReplyDelete“Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
ReplyDeleteAnd lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 This is one of my favorite verses. Any tips on organization for wood mounted stamps??
My favorite hymn comes to mind today and often. "It Is Well". In the aftermath of the tragedy in Colorado, the lives lost and families torn apart,we have to hold onto the fact that God is still in control and all is well with the Christians of this nation. We don't understand and don't need to. Some day God will reveal the answers to all the whys. But for now, hold fast to the fact that It Is Well. Praying for you mother and all those other request listed here. God is good - all the time!
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric you chose. It's a dead ringer for the color scheme. Love it! Prayers to your mother for a successful and speedy recovery.
ReplyDeletePatter,
ReplyDeleteI love your color scheme and the material for your valences.
Let us continue to pray for the victim and families in Aurora, Colorado.

Firstly, your mom will definitely be in my thoughts/prayers. Hope she has a speedy recovery! :-)
ReplyDeleteLoooove your pattern choice. The colours are gorgeous!! Can't wait to see pix of your room! :-)
How exciting for a mystery give-away. You're going to have 3 very happy campers!! :-) Hope one of 'em is "me". It was my birthday last Fri. 13th. -- (unlucky to some, but it was great for me!) so if I won, it would be like an extended birthday. LOL
Best wishes for a happy life in your new home and many enjoyable hours of creativity in your new craft room! Speedy recovery and positive thoughts to your mother!
ReplyDeleteYour room is going to be gorgeous! Prayers will be reaching heaven for your mom and the rest of the family. God's will be done.
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS color scheme!
ReplyDeleteIf you wouldn't mind praying for our family, I will say that we are experience and extraordinary amount of stress with one of our twins who is 3 and has autism. Our family is just generally a mess right now. thanks!
I love the color palette. Very pretty! I'll be keeping your mom in my prayers! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy mom had three knee replacements and did fine. I am sure our mom will be fine, too, but it is hard when we can't be there for them! Sending prayers to you and your parents.
ReplyDeleteI love that you found such a great color palette for your craft room...can't wait to see it finished!
What a beautiful fabric... the colors are so pretty!! I enjoy reading your blog, especially the scriptures, such a blessing. Will definitely lift your mother up in prayer for her upcoming surgery!
ReplyDeletetuki2 at att dot net
Just wanted to tell you that I know three people now who have had this surgery and they are so happy now. No more pain! No more pain in walking, climbing stairs, swimming. Prayers that your dear mother will have the same experience and will be dancing again very soon. (I don't need any goodies so don't put me in the drawing. Just wanted to put your mind a little at ease about your mom). Hugs, Evelyn
ReplyDeletere: the palate -- who'd a thunk it? Looks great.
ReplyDeletehappy to pray for your mom -- I understand completely how you're feeling. My mom had knee replacement surgery and I was too far away to go. TFS so we can join you in prayer.
As for prayer needs, yes please. Our nonprofit is well... not foundering, but we need wisdom and movement. There are needs without resources to meet the need. He is Jehovah Jireh. I just want to make sure we're doing all we're supposed to do on our end. xox
Praise the Lord for you!! You are so precious and the Lord knows the desires of your heart---that said, Your mom will be blessed AND you will be blessed:) Thank you for sharing and for the op to win:) be blessed

Love the color palette. Praying!
ReplyDeleteLove your color palette. I love mustard but not sure of where it fits in....can't wait to see pics.
ReplyDeleteLyn from NH
Thank for all the kind words and prayer support! I really appreciate it. While it may seem I have much going on right now, I do pray for others, and will make a note of each of your prayer requests!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely color scheme you've chosen! Best wishes for your mother's speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patter, praying for peace and wisdom as you unpack: may God's rule extend to your home, especially in the "little things" of unpacking!
ReplyDeleteblessings,
Lucy
Patter, I love your color scheme. I know how tough the unpacking process is - almost worse than packing and moving at times. Will keep your mother and family in my prayers. I've recently been dealing with being on the opposite side of the country while my grandmother has been going through medical issues and its been very frustrating to not be there. Big hugs to you.
ReplyDeletePatter, that fabric is beautiful, I'm sure your room will be a great escape! Your mother will be in my prayers for a quick recovery! My heart has been very heavy recently due to the abduction of 2 young girls nearby. I keep clinging to the verse that God will never leave or forsake those sweet girls and he is with them now. It can just be tough with all that is going on in our world! Thank you for always reaching out and offering beautiful reminders of God's promises through your cards, even though we are no where near each other!
ReplyDeleteI want you to know that I've missed your posts and am glad that you're able to find time again. I think your new craft space will be quite pretty when you get it all done. Looking forward to seeing pics when it reaches that point!
ReplyDeleteWas impressed at Sabbath fellowship yesterday to examine my words and the promises I make, whether I am keeping those promises or not. I was reminded specifically of the times I promise to pray for someone, then go my way and forget. So my assignment is to DO IT then & there if at all possible, but for sure to keep my word. Sending cards with my prayers written out for the recipient is going to one way I follow through.
I love the color mustard; have it in my dining room! But the rest of my colors are very different from yours. Yours are just lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love the color combo! Can't wait to see the new pictures!! Praying that your Mom's surgery goes well along with a painless and speedy recovery. Living away from my Mom I know how difficult it is. Prayers for you and your family also.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless,
Nilsa
Such beautiful fabric, what fun to be planning your new craft space. And it would be my privilege to lift up your mom in prayer. And a mystery box would be very fun! Mary in VA
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed with your thought processes during this giant move, the ability to think through color choices, unpack and assemble RAK boxes too. WoW. Love the new colors...can't wait to see the pictures when all is done.
ReplyDeleteI don't envy you your move! I have had to move several times because I my husband was in the Air Force and I was also an Army brat.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what your room looks like when you are done. Seems like you will have more room.
Praying that your Mom's surgery goes well and that she will be free from pain.
Just wanted to leave an encouraging word concerning your mom's surgery. My dad, at age 80, had ankle replacement surgery in March. He is now doing amazingly well and going to the gym three times a week again!! So I know God will watch over your dear mom and help her heal quickly!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what your beautiful room will look like!
Gorgeous colors!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to request prayer for us. We're in the process of trying to buy our very first home and I'm praying it all works out for us!!
- April W
I do like your color scheme for your room. My favorite color is not pink but I am starting to enjoy the color in certain venues. Your room will be gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI have been copying all your scrapbooking scripture challenges as we will be holding a class on them with our ladies from our church. Thank you for sharing the ideas with us. You are a blessing to all!!
My prayer request is for healing for families in Aurora, Colorado. Also, would you be willing to divulge the part of the country you have moved to? The pictures from your home are breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteUnknown, please note that my ALL of my studies are copyrighted, and I ask that they not be copied. Here is what I have written about using any of my studies within your churches:

Wonderful! Please do have them study along. However, I ask that you not copy my work. I also ask that you have the participants print the study directly from my blog post each time. What a beautiful prayer spot you have!! While you sped time with our heavenly father you get to gaze at his wonderful works!
ReplyDeletePraying for your mom and dad.
ReplyDeleteHave to say, I would have never thought someone could make mustard work. Looking forward to pictures.
Love the colors!!
ReplyDeleteJehovah Rapha, I praise You and ask in Jesus name for Patter's mom and the surgery she will be having that You grant Patter's request, no or little pain, quick recovery, no complications. And for Patter to have peace in as much she can't be there. In Jesus name Amen
My devotional this morning said that thankfulness opens the door for God to come into our life each day. I'm thankful that my daughter told me about your blog back when you were doing the ATC cards and I've been following tou ever since. Will be praying for your mother's knee surgery to go well. My husband is doctoring for small sell carcinoma cancer and we are trying to live his last year as if "Someone left the gate open!" our family of eleven just did a cruise from Montreal to Boston to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary, the last week of June. Thursday he assisted in the funeral service for my 65 year old brother, who dropped dead of a heart attack and didn't get a year to say goodbye. He was a Christian, so it could be a celebration of his life, but the sudden passing has left shock and grief. We appreciate prayers for my husband and my brother's family..
ReplyDeletePraying for your mom. I am sure the surgery will go well. I need prayer for my back muscles. My PT guy is working hard to get me pain free and functioning but I have been dealing with pain since November. Thanks for the prayers. Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteI would appreciate pray as I am haveing biopsies taken from my bladder this Thursday. The procedure will be easy the hard part will be waiting the week for the pathology reports to come back.
ReplyDeleteShuber
Hello, dear Patter! I'm running a little bit behind again! Which leads me to my great idea! Lets get that room of yours unpacked and set up so that we can get the Hymn and Scripture Challenge going again! I miss it so much! :o)
ReplyDeleteYour gorgeous color choices will be just fabulous for a room full of inspirational creativity! Now...hurry, hurry, my friend! Times awasting!! lol
Prayers always...for you and your family...your Mom in particular, at this time!...Nancy :o)
Hope your mom did OK with her knee surgery, I know it is a painful one and the therapy is hard. Hope your room is coming together, my craft room is a mess, need to organize it or just move, like you did! Are you living in Georgia now? Couldn't remember where you moved!
ReplyDeletecontinued strength as you unpack and discover new blessings in your new home everyday. Here's to our "aging" bodies holding up! Nothing tests them like packing and unpacking. By this time, I pray your mom's surgery went well and she is doing well in her recovery. My FIL says it is "uncomfortable" but after healing, he has never been happier.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your blog. I check it every time you update!!! Here is a verse I L.O.V.E.
ReplyDeleteMatthew 6:19-21-Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
A much needed verse jumped out at me this week - "He will refresh your life with His love." Zephaniah 3:17 I love how He always give us what we need when we need it! Praying that your unpacking continues to go well!
ReplyDeletePlace your mother in the hands of the great physician, Jesus is her healer! I speak 1 Peter 2:24 and Gal 3:13 over her, By Jesus stripes she is healed! I really like pink as well, isn't it wonderful that God even cares about things like that? He wants us happy and blessed!
ReplyDeletePut all the worries and any guilt you may have at Jesus feet and enjoy your vacation!
May the Blessing of the Lord overtake you and your family, Linda P
My daughter is having another baby, a new grandchild for me. Praying for a great pregnancy and safe delivery.
ReplyDeleteI said a prayer for your mother.
Beautiful fabric.
What a beautiful color scheme for your room! I would just want to make sure you have enough "white" light, so that the mustard doesn't change the color of every project you are working on. Does that make sense? If not ask. No problem.
ReplyDeleteI do have a question...even after the give-away. Do you have an idea for someone who can't afford a fabulous 12"x12" paper holder like the one you are getting...maybe something from Home Depot, anything I should look for in particular? Would metal grid crease the paper for instance?
Thanks for your help, Patter.
