Welcome to our first Blue Fern Studios DT Blog Hop! I am SO excited to be a part of this team. Leslie and the design team are amazing, and the chipboard is what I have been looking for for a long time! So, what's this weekend about? It's about blog hopping, leaving comments, getting entered for prizes, and seeing lots of yummy inspiration!
The hop begins now and goes through February 10th at 11:59 PM Eastern. Blue Fern Studios will be giving away this "Grand Prize" to the hopper who completes the entire hop by leaving a comment at each stop, and will be chosen by random draw. See this post to view the entire details.
Isn't that an amazing Grand Prize? I know whoever wins that will enjoy it immensly! I am also giving away some goodies so be sure to read this entire post. My prize is shown at the bottom of this post. You don't want to miss out!

For my 8x8 page today, I used the Blue Fern Studios Vintage Locks chipboard and a portion of the Blue Fern Studios Symphony Border. First I painted each piece with Tim Holtz Distress shabby shutters crackle paint. Then I inked them with Tim Holtz frayed burlap distress ink. After that, I sporadically used embossing ink so that I could emboss the chipboard with Ranger embossing tinsel. It gives it a slight, shimmery look in spots. Be sure to look at the close-up photos so see it (click on the photos to enlarge). The matting behind my photo is actually the packaging from the Prima flowers I used.
Stamp Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink frayed burlap, Ranger embossing tinsel
Blue Fern Studios Chipboard: Vintage Locks, Symphony Border
Embellishments: Memory Box Fresh Foliage die 98502, Quickutz Washington font dies, Adirondack denim dabber, Melissa Frances resin tree, May Arts twine, Basic Grey buttons, Luxe Designs lime simple label, Petaloo leaves, Tim Holtz Distress shabby shutters crackle paint and chipped sapphire distress marker, Prima Soubrette E flowers, hand-dyed Hug Snug, sewing machine
And Win This from Me
I am also offering a prize which includes some Blue Fern Chipboard, a Crafter's Workshop template, and various flowers to one random winner. Just leave a comment here on this blog post by Sunday, Feb. 10 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. I will randomly choose a winner on Monday, February 11th. Make sure you check back to see if you are the winner!
I hope you have enjoyed my layout today. Your next stop is Svetlana's blog. I know she has created an amazing piece for you today that you won't want to miss! Thanks for stopping by, and have a blessed weekend!
