Hip Hop {Thursday}

Welcome back to another Hip Hop day!!! I believe we are now on Week 7! Wow!! Today, you should be joining me from Linsey's blog. If you haven't come from there, please return to the Unity blog so that you do not miss out on any of the amazing specials for today!

First, I want to share with you a notebook I altered. I actually altered it probably back in March. I created it for my sketches. Well, I work best when creating my sketches by drawing them directly into Photoshop Elements. Thus, I never used this little notebook. So, I tore up some of the cover this week, left a few of the elements, and turned it into a notebook I will actually use. It is now called "My Idea Book." I find I run across so many ideas in various places, and I end up writing them on small bits of paper all over the place. Now I have my cute notebook to use. I used the Burberry Tree from the Unity Giggle Grove set. I envisioned my little tree as a decorative tree with ornaments hanging off of it. So, the tags are the ornaments, and they say: sketch, paper folding, & embellish. Those represent some of the ideas that might be inside my little book.Each tag is hanging by a piece of black DMC floss. And I also went over the trunk and the branches of the tree with black Stickles. I think this book is going to be quite handy!
Next, I don't know about you, but I LOVE toile!!!! This cassette mounted Unity single called Tea Time Toile is just gorgeous! And I loved using the Adirondack Stonewashed ink. I also used A Moment of Tea set on this card. I folded my Heidi Swapp flowers in half to make them stand out more on the card. They really do look fluffy in person. :)As far as the size of two of the stamps I used today, I compared them both to a dollar bill. The toile stamp is just as long as a dollar bill and about double the width. The good thing about this particular stamp is that you can use as much or as little of this background as you want. The tree is about as wide as a dollar bill but half of the length. So you can see it is quite a bit smaller than the toile background.
Well, thanks for joining me today on the hop! I know you will see more amazing creations as you continue on! Have fun, and head on over to Niki's for some more fun! Blessings,

I loved seeing the toile card and the dollar bill really was helpful. Was the scallop circle about 3 inches? A dollar bill is 6 inches long.
