Organizational {Friday} Room/Space Tour

So many of you have asked over the past year or so if I would share photos of my scrap room. Well, first, I do not have a scrap room. It is a small space in our media room, and I LOVE it! I can scrap and be with the family while they watch TV, play Wii, etc. Second, it is VERY hard to get good pictures of the space but I have tried to finally do that for you today. Some of the pictures have not come out great but it will give you an idea of how I use my space. So, let's go on a tour!

Let me start this tour by saying that my space is only 6'7" x 8'9" and that is including the size of the furniture. My actual floor space is only 4'10" x 6'10". So, it is small but it works for me. Everything is very organized, and that's how I make it work. It looks piled full, and it is but I can find anything I need with just a swivel of my chair! :)

In this first picture, you can see the backside of my space. My sewing cabinet opens out to the left, and it provides another table top if I need it. My husband can still "pop the feet" of his recliner when my sewing machine is open, and I can sew, craft, and enjoy! You also see the backside of a dresser I keep in my space. It holds photos that need to be scrapped (tons of them) and lots of other bigger items that I don't use that often. It's really a nice storage piece. On top of both the dresser and my sewing cabinet, you can see some of my Scrap 'n Cube pieces with books and embellishments on them. They all serve a purpose, and storing things vertically really helps. And yes, I must remove the items on top of the sewing cabinet to use my sewing machine but it doesn't take long at all. :)
Here is another view of my space from the back. You can see my UM stamp storage on top of my Scrap 'n Cube unit, my paper rack, and my toy bin storage that I altered. It provides tons of storage space! And yes, to the right of the paper rack is a railing to downstairs. I love that! I provides light, and I can also see what is going on downstairs if I need to.
Okay, let's move to the inside view of my space. Oh my, here is where it gets cramped! :) From this view, you can see another smaller dresser I keep near the TV. It stores all of my extra page protectors, completed pages to be filed in albums, items to alter, etc. It is another great piece for storage. In this photo, you can also see my Stampin' Things unit for my inks, Copics, Stickles, and my Cuttlebug. One of my favorite storage pieces!
And finally, for the last view of my space, you can see my Clip-it Up on my table, my scrap paper storage, more of my Scrap 'n Cube unit that really holds everything, and then my trash can and my stool are underneath. I am so short that my feet don't touch the ground so I use my precious stool to rest my feet while I am working. And the white fabric on the back of my chair stays there so that when I am creating tutorials, I can easily throw the fabric on my desk, snap a photo, and continue to create. It works great for me.I hope you have enjoyed seeing full pictures of my space. Remember, you can see close-up photos and ideas of most of these pieces in my previous blog posts. You can see links to all of those organizational posts here. Please let me know if you have questions and what other organizational tips you would like to see. Have a blessed Friday!

Hey Cassie! No, I don't have the same thing in all of the cubes. Oh gracious, there is SO much in there (everything) I am not sure I can name it all. LOL! How about I post with details next week on what is in the cubes and what is in the toy bin? Then if others are wondering, they will see it too. So, look for this next Friday! :) And the cubes are from Scrap 'n Cube. The link is in the post. :)
