Organizational {Friday} A Little Teaser

Okay, so my room is taking me much longer to complete than I predicted! It is coming along, and I just have to keep telling myself that each little bit I finish gets me towards my goal. I wanted to share with you a few "teasers" of my room thus far. My office desk faces this, and it's so pretty to look at such colorful fun all day. :) And here is my office desk with the new awesome storage piece my parents found for me. It faces my scrap desk so it is very easy to turn around and get what I need out of the drawers.
And yes, I have 2 desks in my room--my office desk and my scrap desk. Nothing like dark furniture on one side of the room and light/unfinished furniture on the other side of the room. LOL! So far I am loving it if I could just get the piles that are on the floor and bookcases put away. I can't wait to tell you when I am FINALLY done! :)

Anyway, I hope to share a room tour soon. Plus I will be sharing changes and/or refinements to some of my organizational ideas. I hope you will hang in there with me as I finish this room move. :) Thanks for stopping by, and have a blessed Friday!

I notice the paper holder - is that a piece someone made especially for paper or did you purchase it?
The room looks awesome, even the bookshelves!

Thanks Betty! :) Glad you couldn't look at the shelves in detail. LOL! Anyway, the paper rack is one I purchased for $50 from a scrapbook store going out of business. You can certainly buy them brand new but they run about $150 I think. You can look at them here:

I hope that helps. Have a blessed day!

I'll be hanging in there for sure Patter! I LOVE the way you have stored some of your mounted stamps in the little complartmentalized shelves, and that multi-drawer chest on your desk is to die for! Can't wait to see this come to completion for you.

Oh, Patter...I can't wait to see the FINALE! Which never happens to us scrap-stamp people, does it?

Please show us in the Grand Tour...where you keep your scraps...that is what Wondering Minds Really Want to Know! :)

I think the two colors in your room is so functional. The wood, professional furniture is probably where you do your calendar, Bible studies, writing for the blogs, etc...

The pink side is Fun-Land full of light cotton candy color, holding the items you need to complete assignments on your calendar! I think it is wonderful!Beautiful!

I love how I have my desk and a few feet of space...and then shaped in a Hard "C" shape, (w/straight lines,)(Do yo uknow the Hebrew letter "NUN?" It is shaped like that but much wider. I have my most used items...paper, ribbon, brads, florals, any thing glittery or shiney, and pearls and flocked borders. Things like that. So, I can just scoot my chair back and GRAB what I need. I love your paper holder, too! (Someone mentioned it.)The stamps on the wall are so cute. My colors are Bright Pink and Bright Purple with some Yellow. None of my furniture matched, so I bought wash-able table cloths.

I can't Wait until you are happy with the set-up of everything! I hope that you may have seen something in the description of my room, that you can apply. It is so efficient and works for me.

QUESTION: Patter, do you think a child's sewing machine would work to hold 2 pieces of card stock sewn together? Maybe even 3 papers? I am talking about child's sewing machine...bobbin, thread, needle...probably one main stitch. But it would work for me, IF it works through the paper. I don't want a real machine. Thanks for your answer.

ONE ORGANIZATIONAL QUESTION ALSO:
Sorry. I was wondering if you didn't have your fabulous paper holders...and had to just make do...I have all of my cardstock
separated by color, with a flap with the SU! name if SCS has a color challenge. Then I have books and books of paper, and a few kits, that I am not planning to use on albums. Would you tear our the paper, and mix it in with the colors, do the same with the kits? Right now, ihave no idea what colors or themes may be in those kits. I hardly go to my books of paper. Should I retrain myself to look at the books? Or break it all down...in flat stacks. No room to tilt them.

Thank you Wise One! I am sure I am not the only person wondering this. Thank you for answering it.

He IS Able,
Traci S.
