{Faith Journaling} Challenge #31

Since I was not a Christian at the time my triplets were born and because we had to come up with 6 names since we didn't know if they were boys or girls, we just chose names we liked. Looking back, there are Biblical names I would love to have given my children but they definitely fit the names we gave them! LOL! So, today, let's journal on this topic:

**Did you give your children any Biblical names? Why or why not?

Luke 1:31 "You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus."

I am sure your children will love reading this entry someday! Enjoy! And remember, to see all previous journaling topics, please see my post here. Have a blessed weekend!

We named our oldest son Isaac, and he is in the Bible...the reason we chose it is because a) we liked it and it suited him when he was born. Isaac means the "the laughing one" and that he does a lot of :)!
Our other son Ethan, is in the bible...apparently he was a musician who played cymbals for the King. We chose his name because it felt right...if that makes any sense at all.
But our dd's name isn't in the Bible, we chose her name because we loved the name and it was our friends name as well.

We didn't give our first two children biblical names but when we were surprised by the upcoming birth of our third baby, we could not come up with any thing that felt right. One night, only a week away from my due date and about to go to sleep, I said, "We have to settle on a name NOW." My husband reached over and picked up the bible on his night stand and let it fall open. He said, "I think the Lord wants it to be Matthew since that's where his book opened to." We had no clue for a girl name but needless to say, God gave us a beautiful baby boy, Matthew.
