Oh, today's challenge is one of my favorites--"Wing It"--Create a project that includes something with wings (it can be an embellishment and does not need to be the image). Butterflies and birds have always been my favorite "winged things." Butterflies because they show I am a new creation in Christ, and birds because I LOVE them. I guess that's why I have two parrots. LOL!
So, what did I do with the "winged challenge"? Well, I altered a notebook of course! :) I needed a notebook to keep track of the books I read and am going to read. Since I have gotten my new Kindle, I get SO many free books, that I can't keep track of them all. So, this will help with that little issue! For my notebook, I chose to use butteflies as my "winged items." I also used three ODBD stamp sets--Fleur de Lis Borders, Happy Birthday (for the verse & small butterfly), and Don't Worry (for the large butterfly).

What a fun journal Patter!! I love the pink and green color combo and all the stamping you added to your cover. The green butterfly is beautiful! Great job on this week's challenge my friend. Have a great weekend!
hugs,
Chris
Patter, What a wonderful idea for this book. It's beautiful. But I have a question. How do you find all those free books for your Kindle. I've found a few but not many christian books for free.
Thanks.
Patter, love the colors. You crack me up girl - I thought I was an organizational nut - you must have a notebook to keep track of your notebooks, lol love ya TLynn
To find free Kindle books, I subscribe to Books on the Knob blog. They list them daily; however, the Christian publishers go through spells where they have a lot and where there is a dry spell. I have found I grab them all now when I see them even if it's not the type of Christian book I like to read because sometimes I find a new author I love such as Candace Calvert! I would have never read her books but now I am on her second one!
I know right now there is a free Bible available (at least it was yesterday). Just be forewarned that the Books on the Knob lists ALL free books so sometimes there are horrible book covers (inappropriate, etc.). I hope that helps. :)
Okay, Teresa, that has given me the biggest laugh this morning! Thank you!! Hmmm, wonder if I should tell hubby I now need a storage unit for all of my notebooks. LOL!
Patter, girl, you did it again....you have managed to blow me away!!! What a beautiful notebook to have and goodness are you organized!!! I love the sun colors...would even make me want to read, so I could write in it ;D. Have a blessed weekend!! Hugs, Sabrina
This is a great idea! I'm looking at the Kindle because I love to read. My whole family loves to read. Even though I pass the books on to friends, we are drowning in them. Thanks for a great idea, and Teresa too. I don't feel so OCD now and just need to pretty up my notebooks and 'lists'.
I love this! It is so pretty and girly. Beautiful! I love organization too and I appreciate you sharing your ideas with us.
Beautiful notebook Patter!!! I really like this design!!! Hugs ~S~
Thank you Patter for the help with the Kindle. I appreciate your time with all the crafts and for answering our questions.
