Week 1 {ODBDLYLS7} Scrapbook Challenge

Wow, it's July already which means it's time for a new ODBD Let Your Light Shine Scrapbook Challenge. This month our challenge involves circle, circles, circles. Who doesn’t love a circle or two? We thought it would be fun this month to not only play with circles but to also play with your favorite color or a color in your photos. So, your challenge for this month is to: create a layout of any size using at least one circle, ODBD stamps, and your favorite color or a color in your photo(s). Your circle(s) can be included by using embellishments, the way you cut a photo, etc. Have fun!

For my 8x8 page using this challenge, I chose colors from the photograph for my page. This was July 4th last year when my kiddos got together with my sister's kiddos. There are triplets, twins, and a singleton in this photo! :) Too fun! Then I had lots of fun with circles at the bottom of my layout. I used the new ODBD set called Sweet William Small to make the flowers. I then used the ODBD set called Time to stamp my title on the journaling card.

Papers: October Afternoon Grandstand, Mustard Moon ledger red, Basic Grey Boxer
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Sweet William Small, Our Daily Bread Designs Time
Stamp Ink: Adirondack denim, Tim Holtz Distress Ink fired brick
Embellishments: October Afternoon Detours journaling card, Creative Café buttons, Zva Creative pearl flourish, leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts, sewing machine

Now, it is your turn to play. To see all of the challenge guidelines and how to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the ODBD store, please see this post here. There is also some exciting news for July that you won't want to miss! The challenge runs through Sunday, July 31st at 6 p.m. Eastern. We can't wait to see what you create! Thanks for stopping by, and have a blessed day!

Blessings to you and your sweet ones; I enjoyed the photo and layout. That's designer paper that resembles a legal pad? Cool--and I like the stitching & overlapping as well as the stamping.
Thanks to you I've just begun to scrap photos I especially love (even if I need to print an extra copy) with Bible verses I've memorized, hoping to put together an album for reviewing & praying through them. I "stole" your idea of running two ends out of a mat so it looks as if it continues underneath...thanks! Jennifer in Ohio
