An Exciting {ODBD} Celebration & Challenge!

This month we have an exciting celebration going on at Our Daily Bread designs.  It's ODBD’s 4th Anniversary!! So very exciting for Kelley and ODBD! There will be lots of great activities for the month so if you haven't subscribed to the ODBD blog yet, now would be a great time to do that so you won't miss any of the fun for March! :) For one of this month's fun challenges, we have a scrapbook challenge for you. Now, I know many of my readers scrapbook but I don't really see many entries. I would love to see my blog readers join in our scrapbook challenge! Y'all are amazing. Let's see those pages! :)

Now for the fun March challenge! The traditional gifts for a 4th anniversary include fruit or flowers. So your challenge for March is to: create a layout of any size using fruit or flowers and ODBD stamps on your page. Use fruit or flowers as your embellishments, your patterned paper, your stamped images, etc. Think about something fun to do and have enjoy creating your page or pages.

For my 8x8 page, I chose to scrap some pictures I had of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) Headquarters in San Antonio, TX. Studying God's word through the ministry of BSF is what brought me to Christ in 1998. I am ever so thankful for this ministry and how it led me to the Lord! For the challenge, I chose to use flowers by stamping the ODBD set called "Daisy" onto my paper, and then I colored in the flowers with my Angora watercolors. I wanted the flowers to match the papers. I also used the ODBD set called "Quiet Waters" for the verse I stamped on the tag.

How wonderful! The typewriter-ish letters and the sepia colors give a timeless quality to it all, and I know that you thank God for this ministry. (I know a minister who drives past our church and tells his family, "There's where I accepted Christ in VBS." Another points to the place on the hill at camp where God called him to be a missionary.) These spiritual markers are well worth recording, and these stamps bring it out beautifully. The sewing, twine, burlap, even wooden buttons (I had to read very carefully to catch that!)---lovely details, and that verse is so true! HURRAH---Jennifer in Ohio

Patter, this is a beautiful layout!!! Love the contrast of the gem flourish with the jute. Your colors convey the feel of the photos perfectly.
