Today is my day to share a couple of Blue Fern Studios creations with you. For my first February creation, I chose to do a card. My inspiration was the Blue Fern Studios packaging and colors. When you buy any Blue Fern Studios chipboard, you truly get a piece of patterned paper. The packaging should not be thrown away but used for sure.
For this card, I trimmed the Blue Fern Studios Organic Vine Corner to fit the card. It showed slightly where the chipboard was trimmed but that was easily fixed by hiding it under the flowers. I then dabbed on some Adironack acrylic paint but left some of the raw chipboard showing. I like that look. The background paper on the card is the Blue Fern Studios packaging. Isn't the packaging pretty?

Stamp Ink: SU basic black
Embellishments: Prima Corine and Soubrette E flowers, Prima clock face, leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts, misc. burlap, sewing machine
For my next creation, I decided to do an 8x8 layout of myself using my favorite color "pink." I used the Blue Fern Studios Organic Vine Corner and once again dabbed it with paint dabbers. This time I used two different colors (Jenni Bowlin chewing gum dabber and Adirondack shell pink dabber). Then I added some frosted lace Stickles on top to give it a shimmery look. I did the same with the Blue Fern Studios chipboard heart from the Heart Set using Adirondack denim dabber and frosted lace Stickles. You can see the shimmer on the heart much better than on the vine corner because I used a dark paint.

Beautifully created Patter. I'm enjoying Blue Fern and you certainly show it off well.
Gorgeous projects - I am going to have to have a go at your chipboard and paint idea as that looks so good :)
These are lovely, Patter. I enjoyed seeing them, and finding out how you achieved these results. Does anyone else try to guess by looking at the photos and then read the words? Beautiful---thanks! Jennifer in Ohio

The chippies look awesome!
Both your card and layout are equally stunning.
You are so right that packaging is so pretty.
Does the writing up the side say March 2012 because that is when the photo was taken?
I love the little birds perched on the chipboard!
Thanks---Jennifer in Ohio
