Tuesday's {Tip} Paint Cups

For any of you that are dabbling in paints whether it be acrylic, spray inks, Dr. Ph Martin's India Ink, Liquitex inks, or even your stamping ink reinkers, having a palette or tray to use can be very helpful. Roben-Marie suggests using the lid from yogurt cups or pudding cups. The ones I like to use are from the YoCrunch yogurts.

I not only use these for mixing paint but I use it for gesso and for "stamping." Here you can see how I put some Adirondack paint on the bottom of the cup and stamped circles onto my layout I shared in this post on Friday. You can see the circles on the top and bottom right-hand side of the page..

So fun! Another great item I have found that works well is product packaging that has a tray. For example, Maya Road embellishments tend to come in a package where the product sits in a tray. When you open the back of the package, you will find that there is a plastic tray that the product is sitting in. These trays work great for paint cups!

So start a stack of cups and/or product trays and recycle what can easily be used for your paints and stamping. Have a fun and blessed Tuesday!

Patter, I am glad to know I am not the only one that saves the Yo Crunch Lids. I never thought about stamping with them though. Thanks for the great Idea.

Great idea! Makes me think about the little cups they use to put salad dressing in, as well, thanks for sharing!

great idea. I buy the small cups (2 oz - I think) with snap on lids to take salad dressings to work with me so I have been using those as well. I buy them at Wallie World.

I love using things like that for paint, gesso, etc. as well! And they do make great stamps, too- I have a whole collection of jar and bottle lids, wine corks, etc. that I save just for stamping with paint.
