Today I wanted to share three of my Blue Fern Studios creations with you. The first two are very different cards. The first card is a mixed media card with lots of paint, embossing paste, etc. The second is a simple quick card without any paint or mixed media. So, if you need to create something in a hurry, try the second card. Otherwise, if you want to dabble in some paint and fun, try the first card! Then I have my April Sketch layout to share as well as a new Blue Fern Studios paper line you don't want to miss! So, let's have a look.
Today
This card uses lots of paint and mixed media. I used the Blue Fern Garden Calling Cards paper for the sentiment. I also used the Symphony Corners and Mini Ring Things chipboard.
Stamp Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink seedless preserves
Blue Fern Studios chipboard: Symphony Corner (painted with Lindy's Stamp Gang Pink Ladies Pink)
and Mini Ring Things (painted with gesso)
Embellishments: Lawn Fawn sequins; 7Gypsies key collage tissue; Prima Corine flower;
Petaloo Mini Botanica in yellow and pink; The Crafter's Workshop daisy clusters template
with Lindy's Stamp Gang Pink Ladies Pink, Summer Lovin' Sun, and T-bird Turquoise
Just Because
This card is a more simple card. I used the gorgeous collage image from the Blue Fern Garden Calling Cards paper for the background. I then added some ribbon, flowers, and a flair button for the sentiment. I also added a piece of the Blue Fern Studios Bits of Honey chipboard. I left it raw because I liked that color against the other colors on the card.
Stamp Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink frayed burlap
Blue Fern Studios chipboard: Bits of Honey (left raw)
Embellishments: Stampin' Up ribbon, Prima Something Blue First Dance flowers, flair from Glorie, sewing machine
Sweet Max
This is an 8 1/2 x 11 layout I created using the Blue Fern Studios April Sketch Challenge. You still have until midnight EST tomorrow to join in the fun!
To color the Blue Fern Bit heart chipboard, I put down a layer of gesso followed by a blue mist. While it was still wet, I "stamped" a piece of bubble wrap on each piece to get this fun effect.
New Paper Line
And now for the reveal of the newest Blue Fern Studios paper line called "Ombré Dreams." These papers are just gorgeous and have so many possibilities! Be on the lookout for them at your favorite store!
