Most of you know how I love birds. In fact, we have two parrots named Kiwi and Sugar. I also LOVE bird watching, and we have countless feeders in our backyard. I could sit and listen to birds all day. And it's not unusual for me to whistle back to the wild birds because I am so used to "talking" to Kiwi and Sugar in the house. LOL!
Anyway, this week I bought what I call a "Peep cup." I belong to a scrapbook board where we are all called "Peeps." Well, the Peep cup and my love for birds were my inspiration for this art journaling page. Here is my new cup but of course I changed the lid to a pink one.
And here is how my page turned out:
And my page isn't complete without scripture so I chose Psalm 104:12 which says "The birds of the sky nest by the waters;
they sing among the branches."
Be sure to watch for Tuesday's {Tip} as I will share how I created the straight pink lines on this page. I hope you enjoy today's creation, and thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful. Do you ever show your process?
Patter! I really, really, REALLY LOVE your new "peep" cup! I'd love to have two of them! Where did you find yours?
Thanks!
Oops. I should not have been Anonymous!LOL!I'm JoAn.
Gretchen, I have not done a process video only because I can only work 15-20 minutes at a time on my pages. Sometimes they sit for days in between. :)
And JoAn, I got the cup at Bath and Body Works. It comes with the purple lid but I bought an extra lid in pink because I didn't like the purple. :) Enjoy!
Really cute! Your art journal birdie has a cute little face! She looks very sweet.1
Love the cups and your project, Patter. So fun and whimsical and full of color!
Oh I love this! It is so sweet and whimsical. :) Evie
Beautiful. Your verse, is it computer generated? It's amazing. Thanks. Sandy C.
Thanks Sandy. An no, the verse is not computer generated. I stamped the words 'birds' and then used my typewriter for the rest of the verse. :) I use my typewriter for everything! :)
what a cutie bird and journal page. I love all the layers od music sheet and book text along with the drawings and the circles. I am hooked on circles now too. great job!
I LOVE this, Patter! It's gorgeous!!
Those little rows of black dots in parallel lines intrique me....how did you do them?
This page is just joyous, Patter. I enjoy your combinations very much. (and have begun saving various lids & cards to use in "stamping" paint or ink).
Thanks---Jennifer in OH
There is so much to look at on this very well designed page. I love everything about it. Wonderful!
Oh my!! This is so beautiful! I love all the touches but that little bird is awesome!
Jennifer, the little black dots in the double line are a stamp from the Best Friends set from Unity Stamp Co. It is rather old so I am not sure if they still sell it. Have a joyous day, and thanks everyone for your sweet words!
