Journaling {Bible} Acts 1:6-11

As I continue to go back through old sermon notes, I came across this teaching that I wanted to journal from Acts 1:6-11.

"We as God's children need something to do while we wait for Jesus' returnbe a witness."

I did some things differently on this page to help with the "bleed through." First, I stamped on deli paper and then used a glue stick to adhere it to the page. And because I used deli paper, I was able to add my favorite thing to the pagesewing. I also did not mist on this page. I used Dina Wakley's heavy body acrylic paint to splatter a few drops of paint and add the painted circles. Those did not bleed through at all, and I actually prefer it over the mist! Yeah! And if you missed my first page, click here to see that.

So, as I continue to journal in my Bible, I will continue to experiment. These pages really do go quickly, and I love the look. I hope you enjoy seeing these, and feel free to join in! See Shanna Noel's blog here. Have a blessed week ahead!

Enjoyed this--pardon my ignorance, but where do you get deli paper not wrapped around turkey, cheese, etc.? Jennifer in OH

LOL Jennifer! :) I got mine off of amazon.com last year sometime. I am sure they still have it. I understand that Sam's Club also has it but I do not belong to Sam's so I have not looked personally. Hope that helps. :)

Patter, this post has really been a blessing. I went to the link for Shannon's site and there found a link to Doug Field's sermon. It is wonderful I sent it to my sister who is struggling with cancer. I appreciate you sharing your Christian journey so transparently. I am feeling a pull to start an art journal in a journal Bible. Thank you so much.

I'm glad Jennifer asked about the deli paper. I was wondering the same thing. :D What other ways do you use deli paper? What a great thing to journal. I really like this idea.
