Tuesday's {Tip} Painted Lines

While creating an art journal page a week or so ago, I tried something new that I wanted to pass on to you.

Many of you use old credit cards, hotel room keys, iTunes cards, etc., to spread paint. Well, I decided to take some clear packing tape to tape two of these cards together. This makes the edges of the doubled cards just a bit thicker.

Next, I put some paint down on my freezer paper and ran the edge of the cards through the paint. I then stamped it onto my page, and I was able get these fun, thick painted lines on my art journaling page (see the three vertical, pink lines below).

I really love the look, and I am sure this will become something I use a lot. To see the entire art journaling page, please see my post here.

I hope you will give this a try. It will work great on cards and scrapbook layouts too. Have fun, and thanks for stopping by!

I often use an old library card to make lines, but I never thought of making them thicker. Thanks for the tip.
