Scripture Challenge {Week 6}

Week 6 Challenge Word: Peace

Peace
—God is the author of peace. His peace is available in every way under all circumstances. His precious peace can lift us above all of our problems. His peace is a peace that passes all possible understanding. As children of God, we can experience His peace continually in every way. Do you have a quiet time each day with the Lord? Do you take refuge in reading His word daily? Do you have a time of day that you sit down just to talk to God? We can draw on those amazing times we spend with Him and claim His peace when things become chaotic throughout our day.

This week as you look at this word, you will find many scriptures, and you will also find peace used in many different ways. It may be used as a greeting, it can convey a sense of being at ease, it can signify the state of a relationship between people and/or nations, and it can be used as a noun, verb, or an adjective. So, there will be many different ways to study this week. How is “peace” most meaningful to you? What does it mean to you? How does God’s word speak to you when you look at and study peace?

I have been a bit under the weather this week so my card focused on God filling me with a sense of peace and Him being my precious peace. The scriptures I used were Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust Him.” I also used Ephesians 2:14 “For He Himself is our Peace!” There were many, many more scriptures I could have used but my little card certainly wouldn’t fit them all. So, thankfully the extra scriptures I was able to put in my journal.Look through you Bible, look through devotionals, and see what you can find out about peace. And be sure to post in the comment section here or in one of the discussion threads when you have finished so we can take a peak at your creations! You can find the discussion threads on Create My Keepsake, Scrapjazz, and Faith Sisters. Please join us! Have fun, and soak up everything He shows you this week! Blessings for a joyous and peace-filled week everyone!

Hi Patter! This is the perfect word for me this week. I received word that my Grandmother passed away Sat. morning. I know she is at peace with God and has finally been reunited with my Grandfather who passed away in 1992. The sadness I feel has been for me because I will never get to see her and talk with her again, but I can't help to find joy that she is finally at Peace!

I'm loving your blog!

We all need to reflect more on peace don't we?

I LOVE your ATC's! What a great idea! I've wanted a 7 Gypsies ATC Holder but wasn't sure what to do with it, this is PERFECT! :)

I hope you are feeling better, it is really yucky when we don't feel well. I am loving your scripture challenge and right now I have to do change and peace, I am torn with change as my favorite prayer is the sesrenity prayer, which has an inspiring word change in it and I may use the prayer instead of a scripture, or I may use a scripture too, and for peace that has a special meaning for me and I must sort through the scriptures to find the perfect one. Thanks again for this challenge.

What a great word for me this week. My dad passed away last night from complications due to a fall he had a week ago. He is at peace & pain free now that He's met his Lord face to face and has been reunited with my mom who passed away Feb. 23, 1992. I'll catch up next week with this card.

I had so much to share on my scrapbook page about peace this time. I am so glad that we have the peace that only God can give. Here is the link to my page: http://hoosierstamper.blogspot.com/2009/03/double-challenge.html
