Today, let's discuss organizing your patterned paper. Now I used to organize all of my patterned paper by color. Worked great for a few years until I started using complete lines from the same manufacturer. When I decided this wasn't working for me anymore, I spent an entire day reorganizing my paper by manufacturer. I put all of my patterned paper in alphabetical order, and I now keep it stored in my paper rack here:
For those of you that have seen me discuss this paper rack before, you know that I put a 12x12 page protector on top of each stack of paper to keep the dust off. Works great! Anyway, this system has been working fairly well until recently. Now I find that for some lines, I want to keep their die cuts, stickers, paper, the left over scraps, etc., all together in one place. Not all manufacturers, just some. Well, for those new lines that I am currently "stuck on," I decided to store them in the clear envelopes you usually get with product when you buy it online. I label each envelope with the manufacturer's name, then I store them in alphabetical order in a Cropper Hopper paper holder.
It has been working great. I don't lose the small die cuts that inevitably fall off the sheet, I have all of the color coordinated goodies at my fingertips, and they are easy to put away! This would also work great for storing your kits. Everything would be kept together in one handy spot.I hope this gives you some ideas for your paper stash. I know my stash is ever growing so the organization is never ending. Thank goodness I love to organize! :) Well, enjoy the weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Wow Patter! I love the little sneak peek of your scrap room! It looks so cozy and gorgeous. I love the way you organize your paper... that is how I do it, but in a MUCH smaller version :) I am in awe of your stash. :) SO cool and thanks for the tips!!

HOLEY FREAKING SCHMOLEY GIRL! I wish I was HALF as organized as you are! When can I come scrap in your purty room? LOL
I love the idea. I used to keep all my theme paper in the 12 X 12 drawers. Lately I have been putting together page kits and keeping them in the CH Page Kit holders. But they are $6 bucks for 3. Where can we order the ones you are using. My email is sweetpea38301@charter.net.
Fabulously organized you are Patter ! that's wonderful ! I've always kept co-ordinating things from a particular brand & line together as well. It's easier to start matching up things that way for me . But you wouldnt want to see how i keep mine ! lol
Looks great, Patter! I'm really want some of those CH holders. My "kits" are currently in a paper tray and I have to sift thru all of them to find the one I want. I like vertical storage so much better.
Great idea! I love the peek at your scrap room - do you have more pictures of it somewhere online - please let me know where I can see it!
I love reading your posts every friday patter you have some really great ideas. im so inspired im off to reorganise my paper!
Thank you all for your nice comments. :) You are too sweet, and CarolinaGirl, I am expecting another organizational piece on Wednesday. I will try to get new pictures of my room and post them on my blog in the near future. :)
That looks awesome! I just have mine sorted by color, but might have to sort by manufacturer. This looks great!
This is an awesome idea. I have been running into the same problem of trying to keep my matching embellies with the paper.. I'll give it a try.. thanks!! I can't wait to go read some of your other orginzational ideas
Greetings! Really enjoy your blog!
I love the height and single width of your paper holder, mine is double wide and low and it makes it a pain because I am forever bending down and searching for paper. Do you mind telling me where you found your holder and if you'd buy it again today?
Thanks!

I love your paper storage, and was wondering if you could please tell me where you got the maple and white paper storage rack that holds the clear trays. This is exactly what I am looking for. thanks.
