Okay, so I am a perfectionist. So I have been sewing for a LONG time. And so I like my seams to be perfect. Well, in the crafting world, messy seams are fun. They look great. They add a fun dimension to your work. Well, I tried my hand at "messy seams" today, and it was hard. I am so used to sewing straight, that trying to go messy was very difficult for me. I really don't even like how it turned out but hey, I can always try to be messy again. :) Anyway, I made this card for my dd's teacher that has been coming to the house all year because of her head injury. Thursday will be the last day we have her as a teacher. I hope she likes the card, and I hope she doesn't think I was trying to sew straight. Ha! Oh, and I got to use two more new stamps from Unity Stamp Co. These sure are amazing stamps. Well, have a great rest of the week everyone!

Patter I am sooo with you about the messy stitches...something about them just looks....messy =) Love the card tho and thanks again for all your inspiration~
I have never sewed on anything scrapbooked related but would love to. I don't have a sewing machine so I guess that would be the first thing I would need to do. Love the card, I think the teacher will love it, straight lines or not.
I love your card, Patter! I love messy sewing and straight sewing. Totally adds character. I just created a card (actually for your challenge on Triple the sketch) that had messy stitching. :) I don't know what i would do without my sewing machine! :) The teacher will love your card.

Beauitful card!
What a beautiful card, Patter! I love the colors and your stitching looks great. My sewing, when I'm trying for straight lines, looks about like your "messy" stitching! LOL The teacher will love it!
Hi Patter! I saw your work on the Faith Sisters site and thought I'd check out your blog. I'm right there with you on the messy stitching.... it just seems to me like it looks like you "messed up." Love your work though!
