Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge #2

Happy Saturday! I pray you enjoyed our first challenge last week! Did you get a chance to play along? I hope so but if not, we have another fun challenge for you today! For this week's challenge, the ODBD Challenge Team would like to challenge you to use red or pink and bling on your creation since tomorrow is Valentine's Day. It need not be a Valentine's Day creation. To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, February 18. For complete details, see this post here on the ODBD blog. Entries must be left on the ODBD blog post.

For my card for the challenge, I used a kraft notecard then layered ivory paper and kraft paper for the background. I also embossed the top piece of kraft paper and sponged it a bit. Can you see it? Then after cutting out my center ovals, I lightly stamped the hearts from the ODBD Love One Another set for the background and then added the ODBD Scripture Collection 1 stamp on top. The leaves and pink bling were a RAK I received last year but hadn't used yet. I thought they were perfect for my card. :)
Papers: Paper Trey Ink cs, Basic Grey Bittersweet and Sultry
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Love One Another, Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection 1
Stamp Ink: SU creamy caramel, SU close to cocoa, Memento angel pink
Embellishments: Spellbinder Nestabilities oval and scalloped oval, Heidi Swapp bling accents (photo corners), Prima Crystals (flourish), misc. flower bling, misc. leaves, Cuttlebug forest branches embossing folder

I hope you enjoy this week's challenge and have a chance to play along. If you join in, please be sure to use our Challenge Keyword ODBDSLC2 when posting your creation to online galleries. Have fun!!

I have been thinking and praying for you Patter. I hope all is going well with your family...

Your creation is stunning!! I love all the pink and red. The rhinestone flourish with you leaf embellishment is the perfect touch to embellish and highlight that beautiful verse. There is a lot of meaning to that verse that we can all learn from. Stunning design and awesome take on today's red, pink and bling challenge.

Have a great weekend!

blessings and hugs,
Chris

Patter your card is just lovely. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful talent and caring spirit. I Do have a question, with all the cards you make I am sure you send them to family and friends. But I am on a mission to see if the card designers will consider using some of their cards to send to our troops in Afghan, and Iraq. These cards would be used by the troops to send home to their families and friends. It's not like they can just go down to Walmart and pickup a card. The troops are fighting to keep us safe and free, I was just hoping to we could make a few cards for them. If you are interested I would like to talk to you further about this. God bless, and have a wonderful weekend.
