Our Daily Bread Designs {Challenge 35}

Oooh, I think y'all are going to love this week's ODBD challenge! You actually get to pick between three of top challenges from this year--"Dies and Punches," "Texture It," or "Sparkle ."

Well, I chose the "texture it" challenge. I LOVE texture. I added texture with my hand-dyed seam binding, the brad, and my sewing machine. I always seem to use my Making Memories distressing tool for texture so I stayed away from it this time. LOL! The ODBD stamp set I used is called Peace & Joy. And to get my brad the exact color I wanted, I used my Copic marker to color the "bling." Works perfectly! Papers: Basic Grey Jovial, Paper Trey Ink cs
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Peace & Joy
Stamp Ink: VersaMark, Ranger clear ep, Tim Holtz Distress Ink aged mahogany
Embellishments: Tim Holtz bracket die, hand-dyed seam binding, Copic YG17 for brad, Zva Creative brad, sewing machine

If it is already posted somewhere, please let me know and I will look it up! Thanks so much for your time and thanks for posting this beautiful card! LOVED how you used the seam binding under the flower also! LOVE IT!!! Blessings~ Patty

Hi Patter~

What a great looking card! I love the flowers, and the material! The colors are so "seasonal," and I just love the sentiment. The layout of it, the color of it, and the actual words.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Hi Patty, and thank you for your sweet words! I am glad to have you following my blog! :) I do have a tutorial on coloring seam binding. You can find it here:

http://triplethescraps.blogspot.com/2010/06/tuesdays-tip-my-test-colored-seam.html

I will tell you that I do not use the glass & water technique after trying it for my tutorial. It takes too much time and the colors isn't as vibrant. I always spritz it now, and for the seam binding on this card, I used Maya Road Mist and Glimmer Mist (a brown and a red). Let me know if you have more questions, and thanks again!

Patter, this is just a GORGEOUS card! I love the circle cut-outs - so simple, yet they add to so much dimension. Thanks for the inspiration, as always! Blessings, Sue.
