This year, God has really put it on my heart to mail handwritten cards to those hurting or needing a word of encouragement. Most of us don't get much "fun" snail-mail anymore and what a wonderful way to minister to those that need to hear His Word. So today, please share:
**Do you send notes of encouragement with scripture to people hurting or in need?
Psalm 10:17 "You, LORD, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry."
I pray God will use each of us to encourage someone today! Remember, all previous faith journaling questions can be found in this post here. Have a joyous Thursday!

Yes, it is very meaningful to include scripture reference on cards, letters, emails. Some scripture stamps and stickers even feature the entire text, which is fabu, too. Your words or mine may have some value, but God's Word is ultimate wisdom and truth.
I agree that personal mail is precious. Thanks to your website tutorials, I've been altering clipboards & attaching a pen on a cord--very handy for taking a card to Sunday School, Bible study, or a meeting, then inviting all to sign a card for someone who isn't there, or has a special occasion. I love using the littler paper scraps from other projects on cards, too.

I started a card ministry about 4 years ago, and I make some of them and usually have a Bible verse on them. Also, I'm on facebook and sometimes put a Bible verse as my status. Last night I did the B page in your devotionals and had stamps for 2 verses about God's word. I liked your question today.
Just a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave today [19 Feb 12:00am GMT]. Thanks, Maria
Hi Patter! I worked at the post office for a few years and I saw first hand just how much "yukky mail" people would receive. You know, final notices, bills, credit card applications, credit reports, overdraft notices, etc. I decided then and there that I would make it a point to send people delightful "thinking of you" kind of mail...even if it was someone I didn't know well at all. I send notes that say things like, "Julie, I saw you at the grocery store the other day...you look positively beautiful. Your kids were so well-mannered in the check out line. Kudos to you Mom! Love in Christ, Oney"
I think notes like this are well received these days and go a long way to brighten someone's otherwise mundane day.
Oney
PS-- I linked your ABC scripture study page to some friends on facebook because I am having such a great time with it.
