In Roben-Marie's art journaling class, she mentioned how she uses a plate rack to dry her pieces. Well, I thought that was a great idea. So, I found this one at Target.
It has 8 spaces, and holds a lot. I really don't use it for drying like Roben-Marie does; however, I use it for art journaling supplies. In my rack I keep:
*my art journal
*box of background stamps
*newsprint paper I use on my work surface
*folders with various items
*magazines I tear things out of for my pages
*old hymnal I use on pages
*other old books I use on pages
*my inky fabric
*package of doilies
*etc.
I love this little rack. I call it my "art journaling rack." Not sure why I never thought to use one. You can use it for many things other than art journaling. You could use it to stack a bunch of folders. Then in each folder you could keep the projects you are working on (cards, layouts, etc.) or to store memorabilia, etc. Lots of uses for this little baby. :)
I hope you find this helpful, and thanks to Roben-Marie for the great idea! Gosh, I am now even bringing the kitchen into my craft room. LOL! Have a blessed day everyone!
