{Crochet} Change of Plans & a Pattern

If you visited my blog on Friday, you know that I started a rainbow bobble afghan. If you missed my post, please click here. Well, after my post, Annette kindly e-mailed me and told me she had misunderstood the pattern I was asking her for. So, the pattern I was doing was not the one I actually wanted. The pattern I wanted she does not have written down but she told me that "the rainbow blanket I made was a very simple stitch with no real pattern, it's a repeat, row after row, of one TC then one SC in each stitch. I started each row with a turn and a CH3 and ended each row with a DC." Well, I played with what she said, and I didn't like the bobbles using a TC. So, I have now created my own pattern. This is the first pattern I have ever created, and I must say I LOVE it because I don't have to carry a pattern with me. LOL! I made it up thus I know what is next. LOL! Now, this is not a complicated pattern by any means but I hope that you enjoy it! Here is how my afghan looks thus far:

I really love the bobbles lined up. The other pattern I was doing I just didn't like the huge bobbles. You can change the size of a bobble by the number of dc you put into one stitch (see my pattern for details of a bobble stitch). I also didn't like that the bobbles did not line up. Anyway, . . .

I will post my pattern here but please note that this is for personal use only. Please link people back to this post if anyone wants the pattern. I would appreciate it! This pattern has only been tested by me, and I have not done the border yet so I may have to edit the pattern once I play with it. Enjoy, and let me know what you think! Feel free to add yours to Raverly linked to my pattern as named below. :)

**Please note: Google docs really messed up the pdf. I have edited the file, and I think it is all fixed. Please let me know if you see more errors. Also if you printed prior to 3/24/12, you may want to reprint the document. Thank you!

I think this is a gorgeous pattern. Your instructions do not say how you actually started the blanket. How long was the chain you started with?

Thanks
Diana

Diana, I am so sorry but it seems that Google docs horribly reformated my instructions. The starting chain is in the instructions but it's thrown it down to the bottom and duplicated stuff. Oh my!!!!! The starting chain is 150 chains. I need to see if I can fix that document. Wonder why they messed it up so? Oh gracious. Thanks for letting me know. Blessings,

Okay, I think I have fixed the mess in Google docs. If you have already printed the pattern, you may want to print again. I am SO sorry but thanks for letting me know Diana. If y'all see any more errors, please let me know! Blessings,
