{First} Simple Stories/Project Life Pages & Storage

Yesterday as we were indoors for a winter storm warning, I decided to start working on my first Simple Stories album. I love the size of these albums! The Becky Higgins 12x12 albums are just too big for me. So, today I thought I would show you how I am storing my products along with the three 2-page spreads I did yesterday. First, let's look at how I am storing my goodies.

I have my own attic space off of my new studio. I am SO excited about that! As I looked at the door one day, I thought "I need to get an 'over-the-door' storage unit. I am sure I can use it for something." Why should I let that wonderful door space go to waste. So, I searched the web, and here is what I found here on amazon:

I decided to keep all of my Simple Stories goodies inside of these baskets. The top basket holds my new albums, the middle basket holds page protectors, and the bottom holds 6x6 papers and other goodies.

Now, the only things stored in here are the products for these albums. My washi tape and other goodies I use are stored in their normal places (to be shown soon). These baskets are just perfect for this storage. And if you remember from this post, I store my journaling cards on my desk in this cute holder:

With my goodies stored as I wanted them and my photo printer working after sitting for 6 months, I decided to get working. As I sat here, I realized not only how quickly the pages and memories come together but also how much of my old stash I was using up! I used AC Thickers and other stickers and items I haven't touched in years. They were perfect for these pages! Here's a look at some of the manufacturers I used on just these three 2-page spreads:

**Memory Box
**Heidi Swapp
**American Crafts
**Becky Higgins
**Simple Stories
**Tim Holtz
**Craftworkcards
**Chatterbox
**JustRite dater
**Stampin Up

Now when was the last time I used Heidi Swapp stickers or Chatterbox products. Wow! I can't wait to dive into my old stash some more!

Next I wanted to share these pages with you. It took some time to get the photos ready to post so I am not sure how often I will share my pages. If you want to see more of them, let me know. If enough are interested, I will see if I can share them every so often. Now, let's look at those pages. Remember, click on a photo if you want to see more detail.

All of these photos were taken this past Tuesday, January 15th, at our horseback riding lessons. I love that the memories are fresh and now already in an album! The first two-page spread is of Abby, one of our favorite horses. Abby was neglected earlier in life, and because of that she is on a special diet and needs extra love. Isn't she beautiful?

This next two-page spread is of several of our other favorite horses (all girls of course). LOL! The horse with the number 1 on her photo is Wonder. She is my absolute favorite horse. She rides beautifully and is an absolute sweetheart. Anyway, she is on maternity leave because she is going to have a baby any day now! Photos of that I am sure will be coming soon!

And this last two-page spread shows my girls taking their bridles apart and cleaning them. It was way too cold, rainy, and muddy to go out. In fact, all of the horses were in their stalls. We laughed so hard because they watched us the entire time we worked on our bridles. Funny horses!

Papers: Becky Higgins grid design journaling cards, Simple Stories Snap Life and Snap Color Vibe paper, Memory Box mocha and lagoon
Stamps: JustRite 100 year dater
Stamp Ink: SU chocolate chip
Other: Simple Stories Snap stickers typeset, Memory Box large typewriter lowercase alpha die, Tim Holtz Distress Marker vintage photo, American Crafts Thickers shoe box, Authentique petite type circle letter stickers, Heidi Swapp verb stickers, sewing machine, misc. washi tape, Chatterbox icons, Craftworkcards Candi

Well, I hope you enjoyed today's post. Sorry if the photos had a little glare. It's hard to photograph those page protectors. Have a blessed weekend!

Hi Patter...your album pages are wonderful....I checked the Simple Stories site...cannot find how to buy...where is a link to their store?

Susan, they are a manufacturer so you have to buy their items from stores. Several online stores I know of that sell their products are:

*A Cherry on Top
*Two Peas in a Bucket
*Scrapbook.com

I hope that helps. :)
