Blue Fern Studios {November Sketch Challenge} with a Layout

I am so excited to be sharing the latest sketch from Blue Fern Studios with you along with a layout I have created using the newest sketch. I didn't have time to play along last month, and I really missed it. I just love these sketches. They are so beautiful and easy to work with! Let's look at the November sketch:

My Creation
For my 8 1/2 x 11 page, I kept the sketch pretty much "as is." I used this precious photo of our friend's daughter, and this will be another layout for the album I made them. I also used older paperslike 5 years old or so. So, don't be afraid to use up that old stash. LOL!
I used three types of Blue Fern Studios chipboard on my pagefirst, the All Natural Set for the title. I covered it in Prima English Ivy chalk ink and then added Glossy Accents. I left the Bits of Honey chipboard raw. Then the most work went into the final piece of chipboard called Blooming Flourish. I really had fun playing with this piece. I first misted it with water to soften the chipboard. Then I began tearing up the layers of chipboard. I let it dry and then added gesso. While the gesso was wet, I sprinkled on some Zing! Embossing powder in brown sugar. Then I used my heat tool to set the powder. Once that was done I used various Faber-Castell gelatos to create the various colors you see here. This was really fun to watch it come alive.

Papers: Cosmo Cricket Early Bird, Best Creation Inc., Bazzill Basics Antique Newsprint, Basic Grey What's Up, Paper Trey Ink cs
