Journaling {Bible} Proverbs 31

Hello dear blog readers! Let me start off by saying that I can't believe I am sharing this page. I fought with it for a week, and I am still unhappy with it. I messed up the paint then I tried to fix it by covering it up with more paint. Well, what did that do? It made a bigger mess, and then God's precious Word started getting covered up. Most of you know that I do not like to cover His Word. I have actually grieved over it a bit because I felt so bad for covering His Word. Next time I don't like paint or something else, I need to stop instead of adding more to cover it as this is the result.

Anyway, God really spoke to me as I read a devotion by Nancy Leigh DeMoss on Proverbs 31. I used some of the notes from her devotion on my page. The flowers are stamped onto old book paper using watercolors then cut out. My notes say:

"Focus on the positives and allow God to deal with the rough edges. Are my life and deeds a benefit and a blessing to Michael? My godliness should be marked with consistency."

Do you let the "rough edges" of people bother you or do you focus on the positives? We all have "rough edges" that probably annoy others, and I know that I pray people don't focus on my "rough edges" so I shouldn't focus on theirs. Focus on the positives!

I pray you have a blessed Sunday. Also, I wanted to let you know that I may not be able to post the {Glory Art} Scripture Challenge next Sunday. My daughter's spinal fusion surgery has been moved to Friday, May 22nd, and she will be in the hospital until at least Monday. Depending on my week, I may not get it done to post. I apologize in advance but also would appreciate your prayers for a successful surgery for her without complications. Thanks for stopping by today. Blessings,

Praying for you and yours. The purple and yellow are pretty together. I had wondered about using the Bible as canvas but assumed this version was made to "illuminate." If no creating time possible would you please let us know how the procedure went if you can? Family trumps blogging in my book. Praying, jennifer in OH

In my opinion Proverbs 31 is such a high standard I don't believe we can ever do it justice in how we live it out, or how we try to capture its essence, or how we try to embellish it! It is definitely a passage that reminds us that we need God to deal with the rough edges of our lives because we can't do it ourselves! Thanks for sharing!

Jennifer, if you follow my Facebook page (Patter Cross), I will probably update there as that will be easy for me from my iPad which I am taking to the hospital. Blogger is a bit harder for me from my iPad but I will update if I can. I truly, truly appreciate your prayers. And I am SO sorry about your sweet mother. May God cover you in His peace.

And Melanie, yes, you are so correct! Have a joyous day everyone!
