I love the studies and look forward to them as they challenge me to think in a new way about visually representing Scripture without compromising either the org language (whether it is greek or hebrew) or doctrine. I am caught up. My favorite? Im not sure I have one single favorite as I have enjoyed all of them immensely.

I am caught up except for this week's challenge. The best part is the reading of Gods's word and Patter's explanations. I go on a bible search each time and it is really fun and comforting. I am doing my journal as a gift for my oldest daughter for a CHristmas gift.

Oh how I loved your glory art on Religion and the quote from Bono- "Religion is what you have left when the Holy Spirit has left the building-" I need more and more of His Spirit as does the Bride of Christ! Thanks Patter :)Becky J abcjones@comcast.net

Thank you and God bless you for this study, Patter. I enjoy your Bible studies and scriptural illumination of the text's meaning---rather like the monks who would hand copy the Bible and illustrate or at least give something creative in the big first letter of calligraphy at times.
I enjoy the practical ideas and "how to's" also, though I do not always implement these ideas right away, and some are more advanced than my crafting skills/equipment allows. I do love to include Bible verses in cards and scrapbook pages, and at times to make booklets of verses as gifts. Your themes would indeed make someone a great Christmas present---is the daughter of one of the other commenters likely to read the blog and know it's coming? :-)

I love the idea of combining bible study and learning more about the Lord's word with art. I am noticing that I am incorporating versus and other motivating quotes on art when before I may have drew a blank. Your bible studies are encouraging me to open my bible more (and even started some bible art journaling). I am behind, but only this past one since I joined late. Thanks

I so appreciate your transparency and all the work you put into these studies. I enjoy reading your insights on the various topics and ooo and ahh over your projects. These studies are an encouragement to me and challenge my thinking so often. Thanks for letting the Lord use you.

I am not creating at the moment, but you have inspired me greatly. I am currently dealing with a sister who's husband has been cheating, my new husband was found using drugs and alcohol, and a mother who just had a second mastectomy surgery for cancer. Our family has all of this happen in less than 2 months and we have been so discouraged. We are strong believers, but it has been difficult to trust God when there has been so much evil in our lives. I appreciate so much what you have created and it makes me want to start my own scripture cards so I can constantly be renewed through them. That is what your art has done for me and I thank you greatly.

I love expressing my faith in my art. The Glory Art Scripture Challenge is a great way to do this and I love how there is a different theme each time and how varied the themes are. I was inspired to make scripture cards after seeing Patter's and they are going to look wonderful made up into a devotional book. Thanks for all the inspiration, Patter, both spiritually and in art.

Congratulations on the milestone! I am behind in the challenge. I find it difficult to find my own scripture for the subject. I also want to do something original and good. I need to just do it and not be looking for something profound. With my desire to look for my own scripture and doing something original, I find your studies a tad long. Please help me get in the correct mindset so I can just read and do!

First, thank you all for your comments. They have truly inspired me and blessed me. Thank you!

Barbara Laskey, are you searching on keywords to find your own scripture? Also, look in a concordance. Pray and ask the Lord to lead you to the scripture He would like you to use. And as far as the studies being a bit long, I write what God places on my heart, and He uses it for those that need to hear the words He has me type. Leaving something out might be deleting something that someone other than yourself needs to hear. Maybe read them in segments as you have time. May the Lord bless you as you study!
