{ICAD} #17 through #21

ICAD #17, Lace (off prompt)
I really wasn't sure what to do with this card (as is the case for many). My dad purchased many yards of lace for me, and so I thought I would create with the lace. I am not sure I like how it turned out but the lace is a beautiful reminder of my Dad and the verse is a reminder of my Heavenly Father.

(Used: linen tape, washi, stamping, India ink, acrylics, wood veneer, lace, chipboard, splatters, and sewing)

ICAD #18, Orange
To start this card, I just grabbed an old cancelled check and covered the card with it. I love the holes in the check. I then just played with paints until I somewhat liked it. The quote was from my devotional for the day.

(Used: cancelled check, gesso, stencils, acrylics, Stabilo All pencil, Pigma Micron, stamping, and sewing)

ICAD #19, Hymn (off prompt)
I went off prompt again and decided to use a hymn instead of scripture for this card. I thought it would be nice to come across a hymn every now and then as I go through my cards.

(Used: Deli paper, stencils, splatters, and sewing)

ICAD #20, 1960s
For this card, I chose the colors and the bubbles to represent the 1960s. I then used the verse of the day from Biblegateway for the card.

(Used: timecard, stencils, acrylics, ledger paper, Pigma Micron, and sewing)

ICAD #21, Invent a Prompt Bicycle
I found some old scrapbook paper with bicycles on it. I thought it would be a good way to use it up and also use it for my 'invent a prompt'. The quote is from a devotion from Our Daily Bread.

(Used: scrapbook paper, whitewash, stencils, Pigma Micron, bubblewrap, and sewing)

If you have joined in ICAD, I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am. I can't wait to see my box full of these! Have a blessed week!

I love your cards. How do you incorporate the deli paper? I would like to try that but not sure of your process. Also how do you plan to store all the beautiful cards?

Hi Deb. Thank you for your sweet words. The deli paper already has the paints on it. I use it as under paper when I work so it gets beautifully messy. I then glue the deli paper straight to the card. I find the pretty section of paint I like and glue it down. Super easy and makes for a fast background. The cards are stored In a Weis box. I have a small one to keep current cards. As it gets full, I have a larger one just like it but 10" long. You can see my post about it here:

Let me know if you have more questions. Blessings,
