His Holy Name {Challenge 5, Creator}

Challenge Word 5: Creator
God’s Attribute: Dictionary.com describes create as "to cause to come into being, as something unique that would not naturally evolve or that is not made by ordinary processes." He created the universe out of nothing. He is the only one worthy of the name Creator. He is Elohim!

How does this affect my daily life? As Creator, God has the right to do whatever He wants. God is not hidden; He is visibly displayed throughout creation! (Isaiah 40:21-24) Notice in Genesis 1-25, He creates the heavens and the earth, day and night, sky, land, seas, plants, trees, sun, moon, stars, creatures of the sea, birds, livestock, wild animals, etc. But then in Genesis 1:26, He creates man and woman. He created us last so that the earth was completely perfect and ready for us. He created us to have a relationship with Him and to bring Him glory. Even in the smallest of details, He created us. We are created for eternal fellowship with Him. We are created to worship Him. In Him, we are a new creation in Christ.

Last year I shared this video with participants of the Scripture Challenge. I think it is appropriate to share it here now for this study too. This video shows how we are created in Him down to the smallest of details, and that “. . . in Him all things hold together” (Colossians 1:17). The video is about 8 ½ minutes long and extremely moving. I can’t watch it without a box of tissues each time. I pray it touches you and that you fully understand who created you and that this will move you to live for Him daily and to serve Him in whatever He calls you to do! You can see the God Tube video here!

I also wanted to share something I found from an old BSF lesson from 1998. It is talking about the entire first chapter of Genesis—“This entire chapter concentrates upon God. God created; God spoke; God separated; God made, God blessed. The peak and goal of God’s creation is man, the only being created in God’s own image. Where is God in your life? Are you fulfilling the glorious destiny for which the whole world was made for you and you for blessing by God?

For my page this week, I finally got my hands on the yummy Jillibean Soup Minestrone collection! The colors were just perfect along with the precious butterflies that I cut out, layered, and then used Pop Dots for dimension. I also used the flowers from the Unity February kit Endings & Beginnings and colored them in with my Copic markers. The verse I used was:
Revelation 4:11 "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."

And because it is the first of March and the 3rd month of 2009, I am offering THREE RAKs this week. You must visit this thread here, and leave a comment in the same thread to be eligible to win one of the prizes! I hope you will join in on the fun, and good luck to all who enter!

Be blessed this week knowing that He personally created you for Himself. He loves you, and you are perfectly made in Him. Remember to use the Keyword HHN09 when posting in online galleries, and to chat about the challenge, join us in this thread here on Splitcoaststampers! In Him,
