Our Daily Bread Designs News & Blog Hop!!

Today is a huge day for Our Daily Bread Designs--the new Challenge Team is being revealed, and my exciting news is that they have asked me to join this amazing team. You can't imagine my excitement when I got that e-mail!!! I am humbled and so very, very excited! Thank you Kelley and Chris for asking me to join in on the fun! Other challenge team members joining me are: America Kuhn, Natalie Dever, Chris Olsen, Christine Okken, Francie Gumprecht, and Sabrina Jackson.

So, today we start with a Challenge Team Hop and Scavenger Hunt! If you came here from Sabrina Jackson's amazing blog, you are in the right place. If not, you can go back to the ODBD blog to start the hop at the beginning and find out all of the scavenger hunt details. We have lots of fun and a chance to win a Light Of the World stamp set so don't miss out. For the scavenger hunt, here is what you need to find on the Challenge Team blogs:

1. red ric rac
2. Psalm 28:7
3. mittens
4. damask
5. palm trees
6. daisies
7. polka dotted tea pot
(Please note all items are on sidebars or heading bars and backgrounds, not in the posts themselves.)

My card for today's hop was encouraged by my daughter. When she saw the lighthouse from the ODBD Light Of the World stamp set, she said "Mommy, you need to color it like the lighthouse on Hilton Head." So, this card is officially the "Harbour Town Lighthouse" card. :)Papers: SU black CS, Collage Press Grayson Hall, Strathmore Watercolor paper
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Light of the World (image), Our Daily Bread Designs Keep my Lamp Burning (sentiment)
Stamp Ink: Stazon black, SU bashful blue
Embellishments: Derwent watercolor pencils, misc. ribbon, Glitz icing

I loved coloring this lighthouse! I used my Derwent watercolor pencils and my new found love--the Stampin Up blender pens. I also loved using the Collage Press map paper. It was just perfect for the lighthouse. And here is a photo I took of the real the Harbour Town lighthouse: So, do they look similar? Thank you precious daughter for the coloring idea!

Be sure to join us on Saturday, February 6th, for our first team challenge! Now hop on over to America's awesome blog to see what she has created for you today! And remember to be eligible to win, you must leave comments on each Challenge Team members' blog hop post and the ODBD blog along with e-mailing your treasure hunt answers to Chris by Thursday, January 28th at 8 p.m. EST. Thanks for stopping by, and have a blessed weekend!
