{Faith Journaling} Challenge #5

So, how is your journaling coming along? I pray you have been able to keep up. I think by only doing one question a week, that will help everyone keep up and really focus on the meaningful things to write in your journal. Let's continue this week with another Christmas question:

**Do you have a favorite Christmas hymn?

This week, I am also giving a way a RAK to one lucky {Faith Journaling} Challenge participant. I am giving away a copy of this book "To Our Children's Children" by Bob Green. This book is filled with nothing but questions for journaling. I love this book, and I used it to create journaling jars for my family members last year. You can see what I created last year in this post here. This book has a few faith-related questions but not a lot. It is still a GREAT book, however, and I highly recommend it. You can read about it here on amazon.com. To win this book, please let me know how you will use this book or how you are coming along with your faith journaling. Leave your comment here in the comment section by this Sunday, Dec. 20th, at 11:59 p.m. Central Standard time. I will randomly draw one lucky winner and announce the winner on Monday.

Enjoy, and remember, to see all of our challenge questions thus far see my post here. Enjoy your time of journaling! Blessings,
Photobucket

What a lovely gift you gave your family members last year. As a Creative Memories consultant for 10 years, I was really into journaling (or, at least, the idea of it), but have allowed life to take over and haven't kept up with any of my plans. Thanks for the chance to win this book. Maybe it could help me get back on track! (Or, make some meaningful gifts for family memmbers...)

I have been so enjoying this journaling challenge! Once a week has been working so well for me. It gives me a bit of time to get it done but I also found myself wondering where the next one was yesterday. I must be addicted already! Yeah! One of things I do at bedtime with my children is ask them 'Mommy questions'. This book is a new one for me and I would love to find some new questions for my kids. Thanks so much!

Patter, what a great challenge! I am behind a bit as I am encouraging women I teach to write a legacy journal with me and we'll begin in January; but I can't wait. I'm also going to have my teen daughter do it with me. I haven't seen this book before but know I would use it with ladies and children I have the privilege of serving. Blessings!

I have another of his books, "Notes on the Kitchen Table", and it is wonderful. I am really enjoying all of your questions and they are really making me think. I love the journal jars you made last year for. It is getting a little late for Christmas to make them, but I can easily see me making them for birthdays this next year!

hi Patter,
this book sounds interesting. I've never been much of a journaler except when it comes to scrapbooking. It's just not something I've really done. Once in a while I start but don't keep up with it. I'm finding these weekly questions manageable for me. I may take a few days to write about them, but so far I'm keeping up.
Thanks so much for starting this challenge!

How generous of you to offer this book to someone. I will be looking for this in the book store for sure.
I've always wanted to journal and have tried a number of times and never gotten far. I'm looking forward to a new start. I have a beautiful genuine leather journal made be a friend which I will use. I feel that having a very specific focus may help this time. I love the idea of it being my faith journey. Thank you for your guidance in this.

This book sounds wonderful! I am a "wishful" journaler. I wish I did it but I always get stuck when I don't have a prompt. I plan to start the journal challenge after the holidays....too much fuss to begin right now....and I think this book would be right up my alley. I also love the idea of doing journal jars for family members. Thanks for your great site and all the spiritual encouragement I get when I visit.

I had planned on incorporating my journey with God in my scrapbooking, but other than album notes, I hadn't started. I will be using your faith journalling challenge to kick start my process.

The Bob Greene book and journaling jars are just the thing I've been looking for. My Grandmother passed away a couple of years ago and although I tried, I did not capture all the info I wanted from her. My mother is the last remaining person in her family. I want to be sure I capture her stories for our family. Thanks for the info!!!

I read about the book on Amazon and it sounds wonderful. My grandma was writing her story and I bet she would have loved the book. Sadly, she went to be with the Lord this year, so I can't give it to her. But I can write my story for my own family.

I have tried to journal after my mom passed away 7 years ago, and I still to it off and on but I REALLY like this faith journal, I have been faithfully answering the questions you have posted, I started withthe one you posted on the christian paper crafts site, and continue to do the ones here on your blog. Thanks for sharing an awesome idea, I wish my Mom would have stared something like this! Judy rozeview@sympatico.ca

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE this book because I cannot think of questions to ask other people when trying to capture their thoughts and memories for our family and friend albums. Thanks so much for offering it. I end up writing from only my point of view and it seems like something is missing.
Love your blog and especially the organization parts. Praying for your husband's health. In Him, Debra

I've never been able to keep up with a journal or diary but I'm hoping that this journal will be different. I want to leave my stories and beliefs behind for our children & grandchildren. I would love to use this book to add to my journal and/or make gifts for others. Thanks for the opportunity, Patter! Merry Christmas!!

I am beginning to write about my wonderful childhood. The children are loving the stories. Sure wish I had jotted down more of my Grandmothers memories.
