It's {Hip Hop} Time!

Well, there is an amazing new release today from Unity Stamp Co. that I know a lot of my faithful subscribers have been waiting for. This is the kit I suggested to Angela. It is our "Something Within" kit. I came up with the scriptures for the kit, and then Cassie Medema made them look pretty! I think you all will LOVE this kit, and it is only $10!! I used one of the stamps in the kit to create this paperweight:
I used a paperweight I purchased from 1-2-3 Stitch. Yes, I still love my cross stitch too! Anyway, it is glass and very heavy. It has a nice recessed area so that you can use lumpy embellishments if you would like. You could make a set of four paperweights with the four different stamps in the set. These would make great gifts. In this week's Unity Challenge Wednesday thread, the challenge was to use pink and black. So I decided to use the challenge colors for my paperweight. I love pink anyway so this was an easy challenge for me. I did emboss the scripture. It really makes it stand out beautifully underneath the glass. For a full list of products I used, look here.

Now onto my second piece of inspiration for today. I love to color, and the Splitcoaststampers Fan Club product focus (Coloring Mediums: copics, watercolors, pastels, etc.) was perfect for this butterfly from the Unity It's the Little Things July kit. If you don't currently subscribe to the monthly kits, you really should. They are a great value, and there are always AMAZING stamps in each set! The current September kit even has one stamp I designed. :)I also added some fun bling to the center of some of the flowers, and to create the squares along the bottom, I used my Creative Memories square maker. Fast and easy! The Copic colors I used are in the picture below.

A Quick Card

I made this quick card today (with a bad headache mind you) using the CPS sketch #52. I love these Collage Press and Making Memories papers together. The ribbon came from a box of cards I purchased. May as well recycle. :) And of course, I had to use my Stickles on the stamp. I was hoping a little scrapping would take my headache away but no luck. Oh well, at least I had a bit of fun! TFL!

A Fun Card!

I had fun doing this card based on the CPS Sketch #51. I used a Maya Road sheer blossom, traced it onto KI Lace, cut the lace out, then glued it to the sheer flower. I thought it gave the flower a cool effect. I also put a bit of Stickles on my brad for the center of the flower. This was a fun and easy card to make. TFL!

Cards, Cards, and More Cards

I have been having so much fun with cards lately! I think I am going to definitely pass my goal quickly this year! The first three cards were design team work for Inspire Me Card Kits. I used the wonderful January kit, had fun working with owls and the color purple (which I rarely use).

The last two cards were based on sketches from Card Positioning Systems. It is really a great site, and you should sign up for their e-mail updates. You will never miss a new sketch that way! And on the teal "love" card with the black Doodlebug flower, I even used patterned paper and ribbon that is over a year old! Now, I really need to dig into my stash more often! I know I have more fun papers from long ago that are waiting to be used! Well, thanks for looking, and have a joyous week ahead!
