My Jillibean Soup {Creations}

Yeah, I am SO excited to finally share by guest design work for Jillibean Soup! Gosh, I love their products, and if you haven't seen their CHA sneak peeks, you need to go to the blog and look. WOW!

Anyway, my creations are up on the Jillibean Blog here, and I will share them here also. I am SO excited. Thanks go out to Jill and Jillibean for allowing to share and enjoy these wonderful products!

This first creation is my notebook for Bible Study Fellowship (BSF). Those of you that have subscribed to my blog long enough know that I make a new notebook every year for our new study. This upcoming Fall, we will be studying John, and it is a 32 week study thus I used the Jillibean twill and cut it apart to make the number 32 on my notebook. :)Papers: Paper Trey Ink (back), Jillibean Soup Cold Raspberry, Jillibean Soup Cream of Mushroom

And my last creation is a card. I love the Jillibean felt flowers or bean seeds as they call them. I used them on every creation as you probably have noticed! Vera Bradley {Goodness} A Prayer Box

Okay, I love Vera Bradley; however, I must admit I am drawn to the pink fabrics. Well, I got a new mouse pad, and it happens to be a pink Vera Bradley mouse pad. It also came with a pad of paper. Here is what it looks like:

Well, I decided to make a prayer box out of about 3 sheets of the note paper. Gosh I wish they would make scrapbook paper and fabric! Anyway, on the Christian Paper Crafts forum, we have a challenge to make a prayer journal. Well, I decided to make a prayer box with 3x5 cards. I always have trouble with my prayer journals--either I don't leave enough space for the praise or I end up flipping through 15 pages because there are a few prayers still waiting for answers on each page. I have never found the perfect solution. I am hoping this is going to be awesome.

First, I bought a wooden box at Michael's. I can't remember how much it cost because I have had it for a while in my stash. It was very inexpensive though. Then I painted it with white acrylic paint. After painting, I began decorating and covering in Modge Podge. I used a LOT of different products (I will post a product list below). I am disappointed in my pictures of it though. It looks SO cute in person, and ALL of the pinks match. In these pictures, the Vera Bradley paper looks dark (look at the mousepad above to see what the true color is). The Jillibean Soup felt flowers look almost red, and they actually match the pink paper perfectly! And the Stampin' Up! ink looks dreadful. It matches in real life too. Oh well! I created four sections in my box--petition, BSF, Scripture, and praise. I will use the "petition" section for most prayer requests, the "BSF" section for BSF prayer requests, "scripture" section for scriptures I love and I want to pray, and then of course "praise" for prayers as they are answered. The 3x5 cards inside will make it easy to have enough room for the request on one side and the praise on the back. Then I can move them around easily in the box. I think this will be much better for me in the long run. I can also keep blank cards with me to jot down requests I get when I am out. Or I can take requests with me to pray. Make sense? Give me Some {Jillibean Soup}!

I LOVE Jillibean Soup! I am a guest designer for them for this month (July). You will see my work on their blog on July 14th! :) I will of course share here too! And my dear friend Chelsea challenged me this weekend to scrap just for ME!!! No design team work, no challenges--just for ME! So I did! And of course, I had to use some Jillibean Soup because when I worked with their products for my guest design work, it wasn't work! It was pure joy! Don't get me wrong, I love doing design work. It's a passion of mine but I don't get the time very often to just do whatever I want without restrictions.

Anyway, I took a trip to Bible Study Fellowship Headquarters in May. We have over 1,000 classes worldwide. Headquarters is just 2 hours from me, and can you believe I have NEVER been. Now that's dreadful! I have ALWAYS wanted to go! So, I went! It was true joy to go on that trip, and of course, I took many pictures. So, I am creating an 8x8 album of my trip to BSF Headquarters and about my journey in BSF. This page I did is about of one of the rooms at headquarters. It is amazing! The journaling reads:
"I could have sat in this room for hours. This room at BSF HQ is where the staff prays & sings hymns each morning before beginning their day. See the red leader's hymnals on each chair? And the walls of books--oh my! They all came from Miss Johnson's personal library. I can't begin to describe how this room touched me."

Miss Johnson founded BSF in 1952, and she passed away on December 22, 1984. Being in this room where the staff prays for the ministry and all of the classes around the world plus being surrounded by Miss Johnson's personally library was truly touching and amazing! I can't wait to complete my album because it will be something very near and dear to my heart! Thanks for looking and stopping by today. Have a blessed day!
